A/N: Ok, I'm sorry I haven't posted in like, forever. So here is an extra long chapter to make it up. Enjoy! I post once every 1 and a half months, so you better.

They walked off the balcony, with Girme, Orein and Farund engaging in friendly conversation and Percy trailing behind. They twisted and turned in all directions, but they seemed to know where they were going. Just as they were going past a storeroom, a friendly twitter alerted Percy that Owlie was here. The 3 dwarves turned sharply at the noise and took out their weapons with Orein's weapon clumsily knocked into Girme, who then landed on Farund. Percy was surprised no-one got stabbed or cut to death. "No, no. Put the weapons down." Percy gently pushed Farund's broadaxe aside. A wooden owl head peeked around the corner. "Hey! Where have you been?!" Percy declared angrily.

It hooted in reply and flew over to a beam right above them. "Uh... Why is there an owl - ah, a wooden one owl?" Farund said. His brain seems to have broken. "Percy, why is there a wooden owl?" Questioned Orien interestedly. After the water trick, Orien wasn't even surprised that the blue-cladded sorcerer had a magical wooden owl.

The owl hooted again, then looked down at Percy. "Fine, I'll introduce you guys." Percy waved his hand at the owl. "Guys, this is – what should I call you? I guess Owlie is fine. Guys, this is Owlie." He nodded his head at the owl. "And these are my companions, Girme, Orein and – uh, Farund, is it?" The owl looked satisfactory, but Farund still looked in a polite state of shock.

"This will need more explanations later on, as you can guess." Farund looked at Percy in a bemused tone of voice. "But it will have to wait." They walked down the long, winding corridor and trickled through the narrow hallways in a seemingly random direction. Percy didn't know if the dwarves actually knew all these routes. Couldn't they have put a map of the complex on the wall or something? Preferably a map to the nearest bathroom?

To Percy it seemed they walked for at least the length of a marathon before they finally got to their destination, but to the dwarves it seemed like a brisk walk of around 500 metres.

"Here we are." Farund gestured towards an lavish golden door which seemed to sparkle as he saw it. "Pure mithril coating. This door is probably worth half of what Moria makes in a year." Girme's eyes sparkled like the door.

"Yes, made especially for the command room, with enough food and a sufficient recycling system to last many years in there. A marvel in dwarven engineering." Orein touched the door like it was a holy deity, brushing his fingertips along the smooth surface.

Percy cleared his throat.

"Oh, yes. Right." Farund said quickly and walked towards the door. "Turn away now." Farund made a shooing gesture towards them. " Seriously?" Whined Girme. "I won't sell out the secret." Farund shook his head. "Turn around."

Percy, Orein and Girme complied. Mainly because they were all tired of waiting to see Gandalf. The sound of many locking mechanisms turning in an intricate and delicate way came to Percy. It sounded like a mechanical waterfall. After a moment, Farund said: "Ok, you're free to turn around now."

The door had opened, the passage leading into an ornate room with a huge wooden table in the centre. A few dwarves gathered around the table, and the White Wizard himself was sitting at the head.

"Ah, we have visitors." Gandalf said in a welcoming manner. Percy's instincts told him not to mess with the tall dude. He could sense the aura that the wizard had, like if he was radiating heat. It was different, with something familiar mixed in. Percy didn't have time to recognise it because that's when the wizard spoke to him.

"And what's your name?" Gandalf asked, smiling. Percy blanked out for a moment. "Ah, I'm Percy." Gandalf smiled at him some more. "Well, Percy, have a seat." Farund and the others were already sitting down.
