Poseidon, his father came first. He shrunk down to his human form and led him outside the colossal chamber. Their footsteps clattered on the smooth surface. He stopped outside one of the numerous gardens of Olympus. Poseidon looked out towards the garden. "Percy, do you know what this garden was built for?"

"Um... I – I don't really know." His father smiled. "Look towards the garden." And he did. Bronze and silver statues littered the garden. He look at one of the statues face. A hunter. A tiara on the forehead. That meant it was-

"Zoe." He breathed under his breath. He looked at the others. Each one was forever immortalized in silver, gold or bronze. Each one a fallen hero. He looked towards his father again. Poseidon's face was now etched with a distinct look of sadness.

"Why did you take me here?" Percy whispered.

"To remind you of all the lost."

"Why?"

"Because you need to survive."

"Why do you think this will make me survive?"

"Because I wanted to remind you of all who died in the war – this quest is no small one. People will die. Blood will be shed. And you, Percy, will be in the centre of it."

"Is that your way of saying 'don't die, Percy'?"

His father sighed. "I mean that people will suffer Percy, and you can't save all of them. But –" His father held up a azure blue amulet - "That doesn't mean you can't try to."

Percy stared at the amulet. Then he nodded. Poseidon placed the amulet in Percy's hands.

"This contains a very small part of my essence. Still very powerful. It also contains the saltwater from the centre of all sources of saltwater. Only use it if you have to."

Percy nodded once again. Then he began to turn around, when Poseidon said: "And Percy? Don't die for me, ok?"
Percy cracked the briefest of grins and walked down the centre path leading towards the throne room of Mount Olympus.

Once he was back into the throne room, clutching the amulet in his hands, he gestured to Zeus to continue. "A mortal does not boss me around!" He thundered. Hera groaned.

"Can we not?"

Zeus turned and looked at her. "Um – ok, darling. Whatever you need, you just call me." He said meekly.

"I don't need to call you, I'm literally sitting right next to you!"

Zeus blinked for a couple of seconds, and then decided it would be best to ignore the whole thing.

"Continue." He waved his hand.

Hermes shrank down to human size next to Percy. He held up – "A McDonald Action figure?" Said Percy in a apprehensive tone.

"Limited edition. This little beauty-"Hermes waggled around the action figure "-will bring you all the luck you need." Hermes whispered.

"Thank you, Lord Hermes." Percy bowed respectfully. Zeus muttered something from above. Something probably by the lines of: "why doesn't he bow to me?" Hera scolded him. Percy put the figure carefully in his pocket.

Demeter came next. "Cereal!" Demeter said cheerfully. "The best cereal on Earth!" Percy wasn't sure what to do, so he accepted it.

Hephaestus went to Percy after Demeter was back in her throne, even though he didn't vote to give Percy a present. He summoned a full set of beautiful, sea blue armor out of thin air. "The only reason I gave this to you, is for you to not die. Not because I like you, but for Beckendorf to live inside of you." Percy nodded seriously and thanked the god.

Athena descended down from her throne, her steely gaze penetrating into Percy. She unfolded her hands, revealing an owl shaped locket, blazing with fiery light. "This pedant will do what you need it to do the most, in the face of death. Use it wisely, Jackson." She turned her back, but Percy called out: "Athena, can you do one more thing? Please?"

She exhaled through her nose, and turned around. "Be quick, Jackson. My patience is stretched thin."

"Um – do you think you can pass on a message to Annabeth?" The goddess's face softened slightly, but in an instant went back to the steely gaze it had been before.

"Yes, Jackson." He whispered to her what he wanted to tell Annabeth. Athena summoned a envelope out of thin air. She waved her hand again, and the envelope dissolved in a shower of golden light.

Artemis and Apollo remained on their thrones. "To you, I give my blessing. Wherever you are, if you are touched by the moons light, you will always be blessed with a portion of my power."

"I was going to do that! You copied me again!"

"I did not."

"Yes you did - "Artemis slapped her brother in the back of the head. Apollo rubbed the back of his head painfully. "That's godly abuse, that is!"

"It's not godly abuse if the idiot is your brother. Now bless him."

"Fine!"

Apollo muttered some incantations, and a sudden golden light surrounded Percy. The light flickered after a few seconds, and then died out. "That, Perce, was a blessing."

"A blessing for what?"

Apollo held out his fingers. "Oh, uh – healing, a 6th sense, oh – you also get all the girls."

Apollo winked at him. Percy glared at him.

"Can you not? I have a girlfriend, and I don't cheat on them, unlike you!"
Apollo looked down at him. "Fine, fine." He snapped his fingers.

Hades was the last. He walked down from his throne, shrinking at every step. He finally stopped at Percy, in human size. "Jackson, I give this gift to you. Do not fail me, or I've wasted my time." He walked away, his robes dangling behind him. He had given Percy a amulet, the size of a golf ball. Shrieks of pain emanated from the amulet. He shuddered. He would use this gift last.

"Are you ready, Percy?" Said his father, worried.

"Yes, father. I am ready." He said.

All 12 Olympians raised their hands and muttered indiscernible chants. Runes began to swirl in front of Percy. A red tint covered the runes. Then all the sudden, they condensed together, mixing violently. The roof shook, and a small amount of dirt fell from the ceiling.

Athena had a trickle of godly sweat on her forehead. Hermes looked agonised. All the gods looked in pain when the runes exploded in a flash of red. Rubble rained around the throne room. In front of him, was a portal, swirling of red, black and orange. It had blown a hole straight through the roof.

"Gods. That took me so long to build, and this stupid spell blasted right through it. " Gritted Hephaestus in front of his dust covered throne.

"Goodbye, gods. I hope to see you again!" He was half through the portal when a lazy voice said: "Oh! And don't forget your wine!" A sudden weight appeared on his back, and a odd clinking sound alerted him of a backpack full of wine and other things the wine god put in there.

He was about to plunge through the portal when a thought appeared. "How will I get back?" He said to the gods. Athena shifted her feet uncomfortably. "Well that, Pollock, we have to figure out first." Said Dionysus.

Percy locked eyes with his father, who gave a comforting nod, and plunged into the portal hoping the last thing he wouldn't here on this world was Dionysus's voice.

A/N: Did that need any improvement? Please tell, because it's my first story (that I committed myself to) and I need some help identifying what my problems are. Thanks!
