It is not my fault

The story includes parts of Kaveh's hangout event, that was released recently. This means it will contain spoilers in case you didn't play it that far. I will quote some of the things that happened but tell it from a bit different perspective and will tell what happens after the incidents inside the relationship of Alhaitham and Kaveh.

I decided to mention the ending with meeting Alhaitham in the library as well as the ending with Dori. (Sorry Kaveh...but Alhaitham has to scold you again, you are not ready for a happy library project alone in the desert, it fits to my story better this way). It is also important to mention that Kaveh didn't open the Diary of his mother. This will be a detail that will play a role in later chapters.

I also updated the chapter 2 Alhaitham's plan after the hangout event, so if you are interested in my theory how Alhaitham and Kaveh met, read again the part when they are on the roof .

Regarding mature content...there is one scene but as always not graphic, more like discussion of preferences.

Alhaitham noticed, that Kaveh is having trouble in the last weeks. He comes late at the evening, mostly drunk. Both started to distance themselves a bit during this time. Kaveh doesn't want to talk to him. So Alhaitham accepts his wishes. As he still cares about his loved one, he starts to investigate what is wrong with him. If it is something about his work that is troubling him, then he will certainly come to the House of Daena as he is quite sentimental, thinks Alhaitham. Kaveh likes the building too much and liked to annotate all sorts of books of the library to share his 'important' views in the past. Kaveh was always proud about his own annotations, he remembers. This is why Alhaitham played a little trick on him so Kaveh can regain his pride back. He knew that the ex-Grand Conservator doesn't like Kaveh that much. He called him the 'Urchin of Khshahrewar' back than because Kaveh used to annotate all kind of books even the ones not in his expertise. He thinks the following:

I will first write a note in his favorite architecture book 'History of Ancient Sumeru Architecture'. He will look at this book at first after arriving at the library and recognize my handwriting right away. We used to write notes and annotations all the time back then while working on our thesis in the Akademyia years ago. And sometimes I still leave him notes here and there. If I read a book that has some parts which I think he could like to discuss with me, I will leave him a note and leave the book open on the desk in our own library at home. Alhaiham likes to have intellectually challenging discussions with Kaveh...

So this will be a very easy catch already! He will be irritated to see my annotation and will call my name. His voice is so loud when he does it...it will go through my soundproof earpieces right away. I like to have them on when working to not be distracted, but I don't wear them in private when being together with Kaveh. I want to hear even his loud sounds...even if it hurts sometimes my sensitive ears...
I just have to wait in the background for a bit....

Hmmm...regarding how to regain his pride...I just need to lie and say that the ex-Grand Conservator moved all his annotated books to the back shelf due to students complaining about the complexity of his annotations. Of course I will not move all of the books myself...I am way too lazy for that...I just need to move only one book...this has another advantage that I don't need to wait the whole day for him to find that one...Hmmmm...but which one...

Alhaitham starts to go through all the books to have a look which one is best to choose. He thinks again:

Oh! I found it! Perfect! This one has a sketch of his bridge project in Port Ormos in it...If he sees his own sketch, he will be even more proud of himself. This was a rare project where everything went smoothly for him...
