3months later

Today makes her three months she is due in two weeks which I'm so excited and scared about "Baby how is everything going?" I ask over the phone while she is away shopping while I'm at home cooking dinner.

"Everything is good I told Inanna that it's bad luck to walk over a fallen-down broom" I laughed "Well I will let you get done," I say hanging up.

I fix our plate and wait for her to come home.

She walks through the door and I smile "Welcome home baby" I say "Hey baby" She sits beside me and begins to eat She groans at the taste of my food "Yeah you should be a chef when we move to Italy" I smile.

"What should the shop be named?" I asked "Uh Melodys," she said with a smile on her face and I nodded "You never gave me an oral answer when I asked you to marry me" She smiled at me "If the nod wasn't enough to express my acceptance then yes I'll marry you" I hug her and bring kisses all over her face.

We talk about how the kids will have her anger issues but my calm expression at the same time "So they're going to be half and half is that what you are saying" She laughs.

"You know in high school no in college I used to smoke a lot of weed" I was shocked "No that can't be," I said exaggeratedly "Yeah college was stressful especially if you want to stay on top of your classes" I place her thick hair behind her "you're still perfect in my eyes" she makes a face "okay that cute and cringy at the same time" I chuckled.

Me and her head out to the pool for a late-night swim I watch as she swims "You make being pregnant look easy my love" She smiles "If only the birthing was" Her smile falters, and I climb into the water "Hey what's wrong?" I ask moving her wet hair "I never really told anyone this but I had a half-sister from my dad's past relationship we became close when I was 16 and she was 20 she wanted to start a family with her boyfriend and during her birth, she died".

"My niece is still alive and is with her father we write letters and I send them a great sum of money every month and we call almost every week she is in college now she wants to be a doctor like her mom and she looks so much like Desiree" I realized why she had our daughter named that and it holds a special place in my heart now.

I kiss her forehead "Let's go bathe" I say helping her out of the pool.

She sits in front of me placing bubbles on my stubbled beard and I watch her with a joyous expression.

We go lay down in bed and she lays on my chest falling asleep.

Which I do too.

"It's okay Mel we're here," I say to her as her breathing gets heavier I help her out of the car "I feel them coming!" she yells we practically run up the stairs of the hospital.

"Help My wife is going into labor!" I yell as doctors come rushing in "How far along is she?" The doctor asks "9 months" I say "We'll take her Wait in here, sir" The doctor says, and I wait for them to call me in.
