Shit Happens in Summer

tenth|Zarion

Me and Jordan have been working quietly with each other most of the day. I've been working my butt off and Im glad that its our break. I order a Cheesecake Milkshake and a chicken wrap to munch on. I go sit on the patio, Jordan joins me but two tables away. He got me feeling extra bad about my little plan.

While I'm sipping on my shake I hear footsteps and a familiar approach me.

Guy: let me get a bite

Zarion: huh?
I look up to see Dominic smiling at me.

Zarion: Dominic what you doing here?
I say as he hugs me.

Dominic: a little birdy told me you worked here

Zarion: I just started working here this week!

Dominic: that's real good. What you drinking?

Zarion: a shake, you want some?
I slide the shake over to him and he grabs it.

Zarion: wait, I  can get another straw.

Dominic: I don't mind drinking after you.

Zarion: what if I mind drinking off you?
We both look at each other and laugh.

Dominic: I want to take you out somewhere.

Zarion: like where?

Dominic: anywhere. We just really ought to hang out.

Zarion: your free to text me whenever, I know you have my kik.
Dominic: I do, I just thought  you didn't mess with me like that!

Zarion: man I rock with you. You can hit me up anytime!

Dominic: alright, so Wednesday?

Zarion: yes

Dominic: its a date.

Zarion: see you Dominic.
He hug dapped me one last time and got in his car.

Just as I was about to step in from my break I see him pulling off in his car, a old black Mercedes. Its probably the car he told me his grandfather gave him before he passed. Dominic waves and I wave back, then I get a kik  message from him.

Dominic: Wednesday at laser quest Imma come get you lmao

Zarion: OK lol don't reply to this though,you don't need to be texting and driving

He doesn't reply to the message. I snap quickly back into my work mode. I take a bunch of orders and I start to get a rhythm of taking the money, giving the change, and giving the food and receipt. I made sure I put napkins and ketchup in the bags. Its around time for me to clock out so I'll just take this last customer. I can't believe its my baby Nia.

Nia: I'll just have one of you.
We both laughed and gazed into each others eyes.

Zarion: I missed you, and you look beautiful.

Nia: thanks bae, you want to get something to eat after work?

Zarion: you know what I'm trying to eat...

Nia: boy you so nasty
We both laugh and she gets out the car.

Nia kisses me while I held the window open, leaving a big smile on my face. This girl knows what she's doing.
