(A/N: Holy cow, it's been a really long time since I updated this book! I promise, I'm still working on it, I just haven't had any ideas for it at all! Well, I finally got an idea! This idea comes from a Tumblr user called Archiviststar! They kindly gave me permission to use this scenario in a one shot for this book, so please go check them out on Tumblr! I would greatly appreciate requests to help me keep this one shot book going! Thanks for reading!)

I sighed as I took another sip from my drink, Leon, sitting next to me, doing the same with his. The mission had been rough, but thankfully, we had gotten Ashley home safe and sound, and had even been put up in a hotel to rest! So how were we resting? By having a well deserved drink in our room! I looked over at Leon and wrinkled my nose.

"How on Earth do you drink that shit?" I asked. He looked over at me and raised any eyebrow.

"Hm?"

"Whiskey, Leon. It's so gross!" I said. He laughed.

"Same way you drink that fancy mixture of yours, Y/N!" I snorted

"Hey, it's a Rum and Coke, it's not a 'fancy' mixture! Besides, Whiskey is too bitter and burns going down. At least this doesn't burn!" I said. He playfully rolled his eyes.

"Whatever you say, Sweetheart. Whatever you say." He said, which made me roll my eyes in return. As we sat in comfortable silence and a haze of alcohol, I took notice that Leon was in deep thought about something.

"Something on your mind, Leon?" I asked. He sighed, leaning back in his chair.

"...It's nothing, Y/N, nothing you need to worry about." He said. I frowned.

"Hey now, we've been through a ton of shit together. I consider you a friend. You can tell me anything, and I won't tell another soul. What's on your mind?" I asked. He sighed again, before looking back at his glass of whiskey.

"...It's Ada." At the sound of her name, I stiffened slightly. Ada Wong. I knew her. Not as well as Leon, but I did know her. Leon had feelings for her...while I had feelings for him. I could never bring myself to tell him. As soon as I took even half a step forward, hoping to tell him how I felt, Ada would show back up and I'd get pushed five steps back. I shook the thought from my head and looked back at Leon, taking another sip from my drink.

"What about her?" I asked.

"I...don't understand her. One minute she's kissing me, and the next she's running off again! Are women always this confusing?" He asked. I laughed.

"Honey...as a woman, I can tell you, yes we can be this confusing!" I said. He sighed, shaking his head.

"So...what's her end goal here?" He asked. I sighed.

"I...don't really know. I don't know her well enough to know where her feelings for you stand. She could really have feelings for you, she could be using you, or she could just not want to settle down. It could be anything. I'm sorry, I really wish I could be more help." I said. He shook his head.

"No, it's fine Y/N, you've helped me already." He looked back down at his glass and sighed again. "It's just as well. I've never really had any luck with women anyway. They...don't seem to find me that attractive, I guess." As soon as he said that, I swallowed my drink wrong and started coughing. He jumped, looking over at me. "Woah, you okay there, Y/N?" He asked, patting my back as I coughed, trying to clear the liquid from my windpipe. Once I stopped coughing, I looked over at him.

"Leon...are you serious?" I asked. He raised an eyebrow at me.

"What? Serious about what?" He asked.

"Women don't find you attractive? Dude...you could pull any woman you wanted to!" I said.

"...You really think so?" He asked. I don't know if I was feeling bold, or the alcohol was giving me a ton of liquid courage, but all my feelings came pouring out of my mouth like word-vomit. I couldn't stop it!

"Leon, I know so! I mean, gods, you are literally everything a woman would want in a man. You're kind, and you're thoughtful, you're so respectful, I mean...and if that's not enough, you've got the body of a f-cking Greek god, man! The military training has done absolute wonders for you, Leon. Seriously. Any woman would be lucky to have you!" I said, not fully comprehending that I just outed my feelings for him.

"...You really think all that, Y/N?" Leon asked. I nodded.

"Absolutely. Hell, I would be lucky to have you!" I said, and took another drink from my glass.

"...So date me."

I spit out my drink and look over at Leon.

"...I'm sorry?" I asked. He smirked at me, leaning just a little closer to me.

"You said all those nice things about me...so date me." He said. I immediately flushed red, remembering everything I said.

"Well...I did, but...I mean..." I couldn't come up with a way to backtrack, but then I saw my phone sitting on the table. "Oh shoot, you know I just realized I forgot to make a really important phone call when we got here. I'll just step out to do that. I'll be right back, Leon!" I grabbed my phone and stood to walk to the door...but Leon beat me there.

"Ah, ah, ah! I wasn't done with our conversation, Y/N!" He said, blocking the door and leaning against the door frame. I turned an even brighter red.

"I...well...oh come on, Leon, this isn't fair! I'm a little drunk, that's why I said all that!" I said. He smirked a little more.

"Well, in that case...'a drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts'...or in this case, a drunk woman, hm?" He said. My eyes widened.

"...I am so screwed..." I mumbled, looking down at my feet, but that didn't last long, as Leon tilted my head back up to look at him.

"You said you'd be lucky to have me, Y/N...so be lucky." He said. I'm bright red now, and I have no idea what to do. He's leaning down, so close to me, I can smell the faint scent of whiskey on his breath, and I'm sure he can smell the rum on mine. "Be lucky, sugar...date me..." I draw in a small breath as he leaned in just a little closer...so close I could kiss him...

"...Okay..." I whispered. He chuckled.

"That's my girl...come here." He bridged the gap, and kissed me, sending a shock through my system, but I melted into the kiss. When we pulled back, we were both breathless. "So...still need to make that phone call, Y/N?" I shook my head.

"...No." I said, still slightly breathless. He laughed a little.

"Thought not. Come on, sugar. Let's finish our drinks." He said. I nodded and followed him back to the table.

"So...are you my boyfriend now?" I asked. He laughed.

"If you want me to be, Y/N. Is that what you want?" He asked, as we sat down. I smiled a little and nodded.

"Yeah...I'd really like that." I said. He smiled back, taking hold of my hand.

"Then that's what I'll be, sweetheart. As long as I can call you my girlfriend." He said, and I laughed a little.

"I'd really like that!" I said. He laughed with me.

"That's settled then. I think we'll be great together, hun." He said. I smiled.

"Oh yes...we'll definitely be great together. There's no doubt about it."
