The broken weapon (MHA x Male reader)

Chapter 9 : UA sport festival part 3

Midnight explained that everyone who made it through the cavalry battle would fight against an opponent. First up was Izuku Midoriya against Hitoshi Shinso. This fight would end quickly as Shinso used his quirk on Izuku controlling him and almost making him step out of the arena but Izuku gained control again and ran at Shinso then picked him up by the arm and slamming him outside the arena.

Next was Shoto Todoroki against Hanta Sero. Which Shoto won immediately by freezing Sero in place rendering him immobile.

Third was Akui against Denki Kaminari. And seeing how the last fight went Akui was still annoyed at Kaminari first of for destroying his hero costume shirt which he very much liked and second of kind of hurting him. So Akui was going to enjoy this very much. As he stepped into the ring he could see Kaminari being very nervous so he smirked knowing he had the advantage. The battle was called to a start and immediately Akui ran at Kaminari who was visually shocked. But Kaminari recovered quickly and also ran towards Akui who was still smirking. Kaminari send a bolt of electricity towards Akui who jumped over it and landed right in front of Kaminari who tried to punch Akui with an electrified fist but his wrist was caught by Akui who punched him straight in the gut while still holding on to Kaminari's wrist dislocating it. Kaminari let out a scream of pain before being kicked in the side by Akui sending him out of bounds. Akui walked up to Kaminari and put his wrist back into place and he then helped him up and brought him to the infirmary.

Next was Tenya Iida against Mei Hatsume which ended with Iida being the winner after Mei stepped out of bounds. She gave Iida some of her gadgets just so she could show her inventions in the fight and than proceeded to walk out of bounds.

Next was Mina Ashido against Yuga Aoyama which Mina won.

Next was Momo Yaoyorozu Against Fumikage Tokoyami which Tokoyami won by using his dark shadow to push Momo who was just blocking his attacks out of bounds.

Next was Ejiro Kirishima against Mezo Shoji which Kirishima won by overpowering Shoji who put up a decent fight and blocked most attacks and got some great hits but Kirishima's quirk proved to be stronger.

Then was Ochako Uraraka against Katsuki Bakugo. Ochako but up a really good fight and thought she had out smarted Bakugo by fighting hand to hand while using her quirk to hold up a lot of rocks which wasn't visible because of the smoke Bakugo made. But after the smoke cleared she released the rocks but Bakugo saw them and exploded them before sending Ochako out of bounds. 

After that the Tsuyu revealed she was to tired to fight so there was no need to get someone else out from the next teams so it went on to the quarter finals.

Next was Shoto against Midoriya. Shoto starts the match with a freezing attack and Izuku counters with a Delaware smash  that breaks apart the ice wave. Shoto creates a shield of ice behind him to prevent him from being blown out of bounds. He confirms his expectation that Izuku is willing to break himself in order to counter his attacks. Shoto barrages Izuku with ice again and forces his opponent to break another one of his fingers to negate it.

Izuku thinks over his strategy. He admits he does not know enough about Shoto's fighting style because his attacks are so quick. Izuku decides his best bet is to endure and find an opening during their battle. Shoto continues his assault and Izuku breaks another finger to destroy the ice wave. Shoto quickly follows up with another ice attack, forcing Izuku to break the last finger (other than his thumb) on his right hand. This time, however, Shoto withstands the force of the smash and creates a pillar of ice he climbs in order to get closer to Izuku.

Izuku destroys the ice stairs by breaking his middle finger on his left hand, but Shoto evades and jumps into the air above his opponent. Shoto crashes down and tries to hit Izuku with a freezing punch, but he evades. Shoto expands the ice until it reaches Izuku's fleeting foot. With no other choice left, Izuku sacrifices his entire left arm to counter with a full powered smash attack.
