Ruggie had used the potion Leona had given him, when he drank it it boosted his magic. This made the boy use his Magic. When he did the stadium started to shake like an earthquake was happening.
When he told Savanaclaw they believed they have won, but were wrong when Heartslabyul and the Ramshackle group showed up with Diasomnia. They were taken aback not expecting this turn of events.
Though even if the Dorm was caught red-handed they wanted to continue playing until Leona suddenly said they showed just quit while they are ahead. This caused some disagreement to be expressed.
...and Leona didn't take it well.

The Sand was storming around him, it was like a storm of sand surrounding the place as everybody began to cough and cover their faces so the sand won't surround them. Silver made sure that the girl wouldn't breathe in the sand as he held her close to her chest.
"Myah! My nose is dryin' out... m-my eyes hurt!" Grim said as he touched his face feeling them dry out Spook needed to fly down and hide under Serenity's bag along with Button as Pepper as rubbing her eyelid. Jack had his hand on his mouth as he squinted at the sight "Everything the Housewarden touched is turning is sand".
"That'd be my signature spell 'The King's Roar'" The lion man spoke up as he looked towards Ruggie who was withered on the ground breathing heavily "Ironic, ain't it? Nothin' the Savanna hates more than a Drought".
"Yet its prince's Magic desiccates everything---reduces it to sands"
"B-boss... it hurts...!" Ruggie said in pain as he grabbed his neck feeling his skin suddenly become dry. The ADeuce group caught sight of his arm being cracked as they yelled in shock.
"Ruggie's arm! The skin is cracking!" The spade-patched boy yelled taken aback at the horrifying sight.
"Your spell can legit dry out a HUMAN BEING?!" The heart-patched boy added as never seen such magic before.
