Thalia's Reaction

Thalia's eyes grew hotter as the man she loved broke down in front of her. She knew a bit and pieces from Percy that Reiner is originally not from here. He had life before all of this and she suspects the woman he told her is his previous lover. Thalia felt jealous at first, she thought she would never be able to replace Reiner's previous lover. But, Reiner always managed to surprise her.

Reiner willing to open up, Reiner willing to give her a chance. A chance to be with him. At first, Thalia thought that Reiner was able to replace Luke, and she started to see the old Luke in him. But, that image managed to disappear, she finally sees Reiner for he is, she fell for him, because he is Reiner, not Luke. Thalia wrapped her free hand around Reiner's neck and brought him closer, Thalia's right hand could feel Reiner increasing heart beat. She closed her eyes as he put her forehead into Reiners.

"I'm not going anywhere" Thalia whisper "i won't go anywhere"

"I'm sorry" he whispered and Thalia caught pain in it "I'm sorry"

Thalia didn't understand why he apologized and why he sounded in pain, like something ripped his heart into pieces. Dread began to creep in her heart, did Reiner about to do something stupid? It's not new news if Reiner is about to do something stupid just to protect them or sacrifices himself just to make sure people closest to him are happy. Thalia realized that Reiner was also able to hold grudges to the people who wronged him and willing to do anything drastic for it.

"I will make things right" he whispered again this time with determination "I will make sure that you can live your life happily, without fear of losing anybody again"

Thalia pulled her face and searched Reiner's face, she had a bad feeling that she would lose him, and this time forever. Thalia shook her head, she didn't want to lose him, not again. Last time her stupid action caused her to lose Luke and this time, she is willing to do anything to keep Reiner close and to keep her friend close to her. Even if she had to rebel against her own father. The image of her father almost killed Reiner still fresh on her mind.

After a few moments of staring into each other, Thalia almost stopped when Reiner pulled her closer and this time kissed her. Thalia's heart almost exploded from her chest, Thalia hand wrapped around his head and neck. She enjoyed every second of it, his warmth, his scent, his warm breath against her cheek.

After a few minutes that for her felt like hours, Reiner pulled himself and rested his forehead on hers.

"I will protect you, I will protect your happiness" he whispered "I will make sure that there's no more sadness and tears for you. I will turn this world around just for you"
