My eyes avoided Thalia when she ran towards me, she quickly hugged me and buried her head into my shoulder. Her heartbeat increased as she looked up towards me, her right hand moved and she touched my cheek, half forcing me to face her.

"Reiner" she looked at me "Are you okay?" then she shook her head "Of course not, I'm sorry"

"I'm sorry for leaving so suddenly" I said and looked at her electric blue eyes "I just need some alone time"

"I understand that" she said and bit her lower lips "After what my father did to you..." her voice trailed off

"I don't hate you" I said and patted her head "Its your father, not you. I won't make you take responsibilities for it"

"I'm sorry" she said slowly "I-I felt responsible for that accident. If Hades didn't step in, if you died, I-I..." she bit her lower lips hard "I don't want to lose another person I loved again, not again"

"Thalia, I-"

"I know, you can't answer now" she said and smiled "I'll wait" then she pulled herself.

"You changed" I said and chuckled "You are much gentler and I kinda miss the old Thalia"

She pouted and pushed me hard "Shut it Pretty Boy, why you have to ruin the moment"

I laughed and ruffled her hair "When was you arrived?"

"Not too long ago" she said and walked by my side "It was chaos when we realized you were gone, Annabeth gave Percy an ear full for just letting you leave like that. Bianca was panic, and I never saw Annabeth livid like that. She's out for blood"

"REINER LOCKHEART!"

I flinched when I heard Annabeth screamed my full name like that. I heard a rapid foot step then something hit me in the back of my head. I turned around and found Annabeth held a thick book on her hand, she looks like wanted to murder me with that book.

"Hey, I'm taller than you now" I said and Annabeth swung the book again

"Don't distract me!" she yelled at me "Why are you suddenly disappeared like that?! You scare the living out of me!"

"I'm sorry okay" I said "I need sometime alone, to process what just happened, and I'm not going to celebrate anything after Zeus tried to kill me openly like that"

Annabeth lowered her book as she took a good look on me, she then dropped the book and hugged me tightly. I just let her hugged me while I patted her head.

"I was afraid you know" she whispered "I was afraid of losing a dear friend again, I don't want to lose you Reiner"

"When I saw Zeus did that, my world is like stopping. I couldn't do anything, I just watch. I just stood there, I just stood there and watch my best friend about to be killed" she said and I heard a sniff "I already lost Luke, I don't want to lose you again"

"Annabeth, I'm still alive" I said softly "I'm here okay"

She pushed herself and wiped her tears "And you got a lot of explaining to do! What the fuck was that?! The thing that the council talking about?! Why you never told me or Thalia?!"

"First, wow, cursing already? Looks like my attitude is rubbing of on you" I said and Annabeh didn't look amused at all.

"Look, a lot of things happend since Percy and I came here" I said and rubbed the back of my neck "Grover is kidnapped, Percy mother is kidnapped, you are kidnapped. Which is damn, a lot of people is being kidnapped. If one more person is kidnapped this year I will buy you a plate for that"

"Focus!" Annabeth snapped

"Sorry, sorry"

Annabeth nodded and grumbled.

"I just don't want to add more burden on you, both of you" I explained "You guys already have a lot on your plate, I don't want to add more to it. Beside, I'm also trying to understand and sort this kind of things. I want to understand it first before I told you"

"What about Percy?" Annabeth asked "Why did you told him?"

"When first this is happening, Percy already knew. That guy is sharper and smarter than he let on. He noticed little thing and he just asked me plainly about that. And Percy knew me like the back of his hand, he always knew if I hiding something" I answered.

"I do trust you guys" I said and sighed "But, I'm not kind of guy who just spilled everything, I'm the kind of guy who need to understand my own problem and then tell you about it. I don't want to confuse you even more about it"

Annabeth eyes still locked with mine "Reiner, you don't bother me. You can share your problem with me, I'm your friend"

Clara once said that to me too, she called me stubborn idiot because of that. It took her almost 2 year to make me able to open up to her slowly.

"I'll try" I said and offered a small smile "Thank you"

Annabeth smiled and she picked up the book from the ground "Also, you need to speak properly to Percy"

I gave her confused looks.

"Look, Percy felt guilty after what happend between you two" Annabeth explained "He thinks he hurt you. He wanted to apologize but, he's afraid that you will turn him down. Just talk to him okay, please."

"Okay"

"Oh, thing" Annabeth said and chuckled evilly "I smacked you with thicker book if you dare to pull a disappearing act like that again."

Percy eyes trained on me since he saw me walked towards him, when I stopped near him he just stared at the ground. I sat next to him and laid down on the ground, we didn't say a word. Percy shifted in his position, clearly uncomfortable or his ADHD kicked in.

"Hey" I tried to open the conversation "How are you?"

Percy hesitated for a moment "I-I'm fine"

Then silence again, this time I could taste the tension in the air.

"I-I'm sorry" Percy finally said "I'm sorry for judging you like that, I mean after what you have been through"

"I know that you are in pain all this time" he continued "I guess I just mad at myself because I can't help you, I can't take the pain away from you"

"And that moment, when Zeus about to kill you. I-I just stood there, I just stood there and about to watched my best friend, my brother, died in front of me. After you protected me all this time, and I'm just about to let you die, just like that" Percy voices grew tensed.

"Reiner, please. If you need anything, or if you need any help, tell me" Percy voice broke a little "I-I don't want to lose you, I can't imagine if I lose you and I can prevent it. I'll do anything for you, I'll even killed them if that can ease your pain."

I pushed myself up and shook my head. Him and his loyalty "Percy, I'm sorry. For everything" I closed my eyes for a moment "I might be appear to push you away. The truth is I just didn't want to hurt you and disapoint you. It just, I can't...after what happened to Zoe, what if... what if that happen to you? What if I failed you? I don't want to fail and disapoint anyone"

"What happened to Zoe, its not your fault Reiner. If you want to play the blame game, than I'm the one to blame too. I should have pay more attention to you, I supposed to fight with you, maybe listened to Thalia, we are at a fault here Reiner. Stop blaming everything on yourself" Percy said this time much softer

"I know, I know" I looked at him "I'll try to change"

Percy sighed in relief when he heard that "Truce?"

I laughed and pushed his shoulder "Seaweed Brain"

Percy snorted as he pushed me back "Shut it Air Head"
