I Don't Want to Talk About It

A small smile formed on my lips when I saw Nico sprint towards me when I entered the camp border. He threw opened his arm and hugged me, his head buried on my chest, gently I patted his head and Nico let out a satisfied hum. Then he pulled himself and gave me confused looks, when no one came after me.

"I left earlier" I explained "I'm tired and need some rest"

"Why are you alone?" he asked in innocent tone.

I forced a smile "The other are still in Olympus, they will be back soon. Including your sister" I said

Nico grinned at the news and he jumped happily, he hugged me again, tighter this time.

"Thank you, for protecting her" he said softly "Thank you, brother"

I froze for a moment, Nico words hit me hard. I glanced down and saw him buried his head on my chest. My hand hovered on his back, words caught in my throat. For a moment, I swore I saw my little brother hug me. I clenched my left fist until my knuckle when white, I closed my eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. I need to calm down, I can't break down in front of Nico, I need to stay strong, for him. I put my right hand on his back and rubbed it gently. I heard Nico let out a small sigh, as if he's enjoying it.

"You're back"

I looked up from Nico and saw Chiron stood not to far from me, his eyes locking with mine. For a moment I saw a hint of proud in there also sadness. I averted my eyes and patted Nico head.

"Hey, Nico. I want to talk to Chiron. I'll catch up with you later okay?" I said and patted Nico head.

Nico nodded then he ran to the Archery Field, my eyes lingered on his back for a moment, before focusing on Chiron. Chrion gave me a small smile, he walked closer to me and put his hand on top of my head. When he did that, I started to realize that I already grew taller than last year, a lot of this happened, so I never pay attention to small detail like that.

"You're getting taller" Chiron said and shook his head "When you come to here for the first time you are much smaller"

I chuckled at his words "It felt just like yesterday"

Chiron put his hand on my back "A lot happened since that day" he said sadly "And now..."

I walked by his side "It changed" I said and looked at the sky "I changed, everything changed"

"Reiner, I heard what happened" Chiron said carefully "In the throne room"

"Words travelled fast huh" I muttered

Silence hung in the air, its heavy and made me uncomfortable. I stopped walking and stared at Chiron back, the man stopped and turned to face me. Our eye met for a moment, and that moment enough to tell Chiron that I was hurt, badly. The damage already done, and I never knew if I could ever healed from that kind of damaged.

"Reiner, he's just paranoid" Chiron said and took a careful step towards me "He's just afraid"

I felt Chiron hand on my shoulder, I averted my eyes from his "And by killing me will solved that? Is that it?"

"Believe me I try, Chiron. But, still its not enough for them" I said bitterly "They even separated me from my mother, made my life a living hell. I try my best to put up with that, pretending that everything will work out by itself. But, what he did. Its just too much, he already crossed the line"

"Reiner, please" Chiron looked at me sadly "I don't want to lose another camper to the other side" he forced me to face him "Think about it, its will end badly for you and your mother"

I snorted at his words "It is already bad. Zeus already tell me his intention, he won't rest until my head on a pike and served in a silver platter. I don't know what his problem is, but his hatred towards me is, unreal" I took a step back "No matter which side I'm on, Zeus will always try to find a way to kll me"
