Percy's heart almost stopped when he realized Reiner said goodbye, not see you soon. But before he can react, Reiner already disappears, probably shadow traveling to the camp. Percy paced around in the living room, his mind racing to all the possibilities. Is not new news that Reiner is willing to sacrifice himself to make people around him happy. Reiner's words last year still haunt him, Reiner asked Percy to kill him when Kronos took over his body. Percy decided to call Annabeth by I.M, he needed to discuss it with her.

"What is it, Seaweed Brain?" Annabeth finally answered "I already said yes, next week I'll accompany you to see some movie"

"No, it's not about that. It's Reiner" Percy quickly said.

"Reiner? Did he get himself into trouble again?"

"Maybe" Percy bit his lower lips "First, he will attend a different school and second, he said good bye instead of see you soon, when he went back into the camp"

"Okay first, I understand why he switch school, I mean" Annabeth gesture her hand towards Percy

"What? Me? What about me?" Percy protested.

"Your history of blowing up school" Annabeth rolled her eyes

"Hey! It's the monster, not me!"

"Yeah, yeah"

"I'm being serious here Annabeth!"

"Did he say why?"

"Well, he did say about blowing up school and college. Something about his C.V or something and something about recruitment"

"Huh, College huh, never thought about that" Annabeth mumbled "Reiner is kinda right tho, I mean blowing up school is not exactly a good looks"

"He never cared about it before! Why now?!"

"Percy, maybe his life does not revolve around fighting monsters and saving the world. I mean what happened last time when he literally saved the world?"

"And last time I check, we didn't get paid for doing it"

"Ah yes, he did say that and after that he insult the god"

"Gee, I wonder how did survive this long when he almost insult them all the time"

"My point is, what if he planned to do something stupid? to the point instead of saying see you soon like usual, he is saying goodbye?!"

"Percy, is not a new news if Reiner about to do anything stupid just to protect and keep us happy and safe"

"What if this time it will cost his life?! Annabeth for god sake, he asked me to kill him if Kronos take over his body"

Silence filled the air as Percy realized what just escaped his lips.

"HE WHAT AND WHO TAKE OVER HIS BODY?!" Annabeth's voice was so loud to the point that the image shimmered.

"No, dad I'm okay. I'm just on I.M with Percy and he said something stupid again"

"Annabeth, I'm-"

"Explain. Now"

"Last time when you got abducted by Atlas, Reiner told me to kill him when Kronos took over his body. He told me that I'm the only one who could do it even if he is invincible" Percy quickly explained "At that time Kronos already on his mind, part of Kronos"

"And you didn't bother to tell me or Chiron or anyone about it?" Annabeth raised his voice.

"Reiner told me not to!"

"Percy, it's Reiner. All of us already promised to share and talk about him when he acts strange! All of us know what he capable of"

"I know Annabeth, I know" Percy said and his voice broke at the end of sentences "I know that well, damn it. Why? Why does he always do it?! Why he always pushed himself so hard, to the point that he almost died several time"

"Percy '' Annabeth sniffled. "That's our Reiner, he always kept it to himself and he always made sure us safe and happy, without regard for his own safety and happiness. I hate him for it, but at the same time I'm thankful for it"

"Do we rely on him too much?" Percy asked "His kindness and all of that, maybe that make us rely on him too much"

"Maybe"

"He did several time told me, he didn't want to add more burden onto me, he said you already have too much on your plate" Percy ruffled his own hair

"After Zoe died, he began to close his heart. He told me that he afraid that he couldn't protect me anymore" Percy continued

"That damn fool" Annabeth hit her table "Zoe death is not his fault"

"Annabeth, what should we do? What if this time Reiner is going to do something really stupid?" Percy asked, fear laced his tone.

"Like what?"

"Agreeing to be Kronos' vessel" Percy answered.
