Chapter 9: New Recruit

Adeen stayed in the closet while Takemichi was out there fighting Kiyomasa and his men. The closet was dark with only a dim light. All that she heard was gunshots and screams echoing through the place.

'I really hope that he is ok. I can never forgive myself if something happened to him. If I weren't so foolish and not check my surroundings when Kiyomasa took me. I hope he doesn't die, I don't even know his name.' Adeen thought with conviction in her heart.

Then a memory appeared in her head of the Takemichi, their eyes connecting with one another. Heat rising in Adeen's cheeks just from the sight of his gorgeous pupils.

"Nothing will happen to me sweetheart, don't you worry."

Adeen's imagination came to a halt when a huge thump came from the door. She held the gun right and aimed directly at the door. A groan and a thud was heard.

A long silence was heard after, Adeen's breathing was deep and heavy as her hands was tight and firm on the gun.

A couple of gently knocks was heard. Adeen held a sharp breath.

" It's me, it's ok to come out." Takemichi whispered.

Adeen released her breath, glad that the man was ok. She put her hand on the doorknob and slowly opened the door, and come to her surprise once she opened it, Takemichi clothing is covered in blood. His knuckles were purple and his hair was a mess.

" Oh my goodness! Are you ok? Are you hurt anywhere?" Adeen rambled with questions out of concern.

Takemichi chuckled, " I'm fine, this isn't my blood anyway." Takemichi stopped chuckling once seeing Adeen's eyes; tears were sliding down her face and her cheeks were red.

" Hey hey, what's wrong?" Takemichi asked.

Adeen immediately gave Takemichi a tight hug. She was crying on his blooded shirt. " Thank you so much."

Takemichi gave a soft smile and wrapped his arms around her head, stroking her hair," Your welcome, but now is not the time for crying, we have to get out of here."

Adeen stood up straight and wiped her tears, she gave a firm nod to Takemichi. Takemichi held out his hand for her to hold it. Adeen held his hand and speed walked down the stairs.

Once they were down the stairs, the whole entire was covered in blood and bodies, Kiyomasa included. He was slumped on the stairs. He was covered in bruises and looked like he peed his pants. Adeen giggled at the sight, 'That's what you deserve a**hole.'

They were about to go through an exit, then suddenly a loud bang was heard in the room, and a sharp pain was felt in Adeen's leg. She collapsed and screamed out of shock. Takemichi immediately caught her before she fell to the ground. Takemichi looked up and saw that Kiyomasa shot the gun, he smirked before he fell unconscious.

Takemichi clenched his jaw out of anger, " I'm gonna kill that b*stard."

" No no... I'm fine... lets get out of here... please." Adeen stammered and pleaded in pain.

Takemichi looked into her eyes, she gave him a weak smile. He had no choice, he picked her up bridle style and held her firmly. She groaned in pain by the sudden action, but then relaxed and rested her head on his shoulder.

Takemichi was outside and headed to his car, he opened the door with his car keys and gently put Adeen on the seat. Once she was slumped on the seat, he put a shock blanket on her. He examined the wound.

' Looks like the bullet went straight through, I have the tourniquet the leg.'

He took his belt, wrapped, and tightened it above the wound. Adeen groaned loudly because of the pain.
