Bonds Beyond Worlds [TCF Fanfic]

Prologue

Oliver Rossi, born into the prestigious Rossi family, was destined to inherit the helm of the world's largest and most influential mafia organization. Raised with the weight of expectations on his shoulders, he possessed the cunning, charisma, and strategic brilliance necessary to lead. However, his life took a treacherous turn when he took a liking to a seductress who soon took the chance to kill him when he lowered his guard for a second. It took his life and ended his journey in that world.

He soon found himself inside a brand new world, got a little brother, an abusive and alcoholic uncle, two dead parents, and a bunch of relatives who could care less for the pair of siblings. Being the resourceful and cunning man he is, he managed to put his Uncle behind bars before the little brother he took a great liking to is pained that he already is, got himself a job where he worked as a hacker and then saved some money to put him and his brother in a better living situation, then did his best to give his brother a good life. However, God was just never nice to him. When the monsters first appeared, his only brother nearly got killed but thanks to his fast reaction, he managed to save his brother despite losing one of his eyes. The world turned dangerous, monsters and supernatural abilities appeared, and he had no choice but to do his best to survive and protect his only relative.

but he died.....for an unknown reason at that. 

He was just working with some documents when his vision turned black and suddenly he lost all of his senses until he found himself floating in a dark space.

"..where?.." albeit confused, Min Ho didn't lower his guard, although he knew for a fact how powerless he was right now, he could barely sense anything.

"Greetings, Kim Min Ho" a cloaked figure appeared before him.

Min Ho stared quietly, the figure before him was giving a sense of peace and warmth, and that screams danger for me.

"Peace and warmth?....what the fu- no, never mind, let's change location first" dumbfounded by the thoughts of the human before him, the God of Darkness nearly cursed, and nearly forgot his purpose of having that human here.

Overall, that human is extremely peculiar, It's good thing he managed to call dibs on him first.

The cloaked figure raised his hand and snapped his finger, then suddenly, the entire environment changed to that of a medieval-looking office room that Min Ho only once seen in the paintings in the Royal Palace of England when he once took a visit. But the best part for Min Ho is when his spirit or body landed on the floor, all of his senses came back, and he also finally had his own physical body to control. 

"Have a seat" The cloaked figure gestured towards the couch, and he obliged as it was beyond comprehension how idiotic it would be to oppose the being in front of him, the cloaked figure then sat opposite to him.

Tea and snacks appeared on the table and this being offered him this refreshment but he declined politely as he wanted to go down to business as fast as possible.

The God of Darkness sighed, as expected, this one is much more solemn than the other.

"I'm pretty sure you're aware of your death, for the second time I mean"


"I am"


"haa" Thamuz couldn't help but sigh, well, he was the one who chose this. The God of Darkness sipped his tea and tried to keep all the stress inside him hidden. 

"Thanatos, the God of Death, made a deal with a young man with a special bloodline, and in this deal, your little brother, Kim Rok Soo, got involved.

You see, the world where this young man, named Cale, lived was doomed to be destroyed by a sealed God, we, the Gods of that world, long lost track of, we already did everything we could to save this world, even exhausted our powers. The deal Thanatos made with Cale is our last chance, that is why we're giving our all this time. 

The deal is mainly how Rok Soo will exchange bodies with Cale, in short, Rok Soo will be Cale, and Cale will be Rok Soo, however, Rok Soo disagreed, he wanted Cale to see how this timeline will end, hence we, the gods, pulled some strings to make it happen.

As for why you're here, it is mainly out of assistance, with your intelligence and experience, I believe I could breathe a bit with you around, and it is also a chance for you to live with your brother again, and possibly a second sibling" Thamuz moved his gaze away from the young man in front of him as he continued munching on his cookie.

"I died for the second time, why?" despite the ambiguous question, Min Ho knew well how the man opposite him could understand.

"Your first death was an accident, you weren't supposed to die yet, hence we let you live for the second time, as to why you have your memories with you, that was a mistake on our part too. However, your death this time was bound to happen. As for the reason why you are given another chance to live, take it as us asking for your assistance"

Min Ho nodded in acknowledgment, however,

"What's in it for me?" Thamuz gulped and looked away once again, the glint in that man's eyes was definitely not good for his heart.  

"....well...."

I might as well take everything I could from this guy.
