Steven and The Animatronics

Chapter Two: Night 2

Steven wakes up the following day, and he gets out of bed and goes downstairs.

Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl are sitting on the couch discussing something.

"I really hope the Diamonds don't keep showing up every week to visit Steven!" says Amethyst, clearly annoyed. "I guess it's cool they care about Steven now, but do they really need to visit every week?"

"Everything will be fine." Answers Garnet.

"Hey guys, I'm gonna go see my dad," Steven tells the Gems.

"Ok, have fun!" says Pearl.

"Ok, be extra careful," says Garnet holding her hand to her visor.

"Don't fall down the steps and break your face," says Amethyst falling off the couch laughing.

Steven runs down to It's a Wash and sees his dad.

"Hey, dad! could you drive me over to Connie's house?" Asks Steven. "I wanna see if she wants to hang out today!"

"She just stopped by here to say hello I think She's on her way to that new pizzeria," says Greg.

"Oh my gosh, really?!?" Asks Steven.

"Yeah, there she is!" says Greg. He points to her walking along the road to the boardwalk.

Thanks, dad! See you later! Steven says, running towards Connie.

"Hi Connie!!!" says Steven as he catches up to where Connie was walking.

"Hi, Steven!" How are you today? Says Connie waving to Steven.

"I'm doing great. I was actually just asking my dad to drive me over to your house to see if you wanted to hang out today," he says pointed back towards the car wash.

"Oh well, I was going to the new pizzeria they just built. We could hang out there!" replies Connie.

"That would be awesome! The Gems and I went yesterday. It's really cool," says Steven.

"Sounds like a plan!" Connie says, chuckling.

They both walk along the boardwalk to the pizzeria and head inside.

Connie looks around the entrance area. "Wow, this is just the entrance, but it's already so fun looking!" she says, peering into the main dining area.

"I know, right!" says Steven as they walk up to the ticket desk and tell the man at the desk, "two tickets please."

They both enjoy the day eating pizza and listening to Freddy Bonnie and Chica sing on stage. Then suddenly, it's closing time.

"Wow, the day went by so fast! Exclaims Connie. "I'm sad we have to leave now."

"Actually, we don't!"  Steven tells Connie.

"What do you mean? Connie says, looking at Steven with a puzzled look on her face.

"We could hide out somewhere and stay here in the pizzeria during the night. I did last night because I wasn't paying attention, and I got locked in here during the night, " says Steven.

"Here? Oh my goodness, was it scary? And I don't think I could. My parents would be worried sick!" Answers Connie.

"No, it wasn't scary at all. I met one of the night workers too. And Just call and tell your parents you're sleeping over at my house! They trust the gems." Says Steven.

"Night workers?" Connie says, even more confused.

"The animatronics are left in some roaming mode, and they roam the pizzeria at night so their endoskeletons won't get stuck and break.
