Steven and The Animatronics

Chapter Eight: Night 5

At 11 PM, Steven's alarm goes off. Steven shuts it off and gets up from bed.

"Tonight, we will enter that area behind Pirate's Cove and find Connie and get her out of there," Steven says to himself, walking downstairs.

Pearl and Amethyst are waiting at the bottom of the stairs. 

"Where's Garnet?" Steven asks after he notices the mysterious Crystal Gem isn't standing there. 

"She warped out to the country to get Lapis and Peridot. We figured the more, the merrier!" Pearl says excitedly.

"That's a great idea," Steven answers Pearl. "What about Bismuth? We could use her expertise with metal in case any of the animatronics need to be put out of commission." Steven says, cracking his knuckles angrily.

"I can go get her," Amethyst says, running towards the warp pad. "Peace," she says, warping out.

A few moments after the warped pad glows and Garnet, Peridot, and Lapis appear, Peridot doing a funny pose.

"The best Crystal Gem has arrived!" Peridot says, seeing Steven standing there.

"Hi Peridot, Hi Lapis!" Steven says, running over there and hugging each Gem. "It's been a while. How's the country life?"

"It's nice as always," Lapis says calmly. "How have you been, Steven?"

"Well, you know, something new every day," Steven says jokingly.

Just then, the warp pad glows, and Bismuth and Amethyst appear.

"Steven!" Bismuth says, grabbing him and lifting him. "How's the little man?"

"Bismuth! I'm great!" Steven says as Bismuth puts him back on the ground. 

"Okay, what's the plan, Steven?" Peridot says curiously. 

"The main objective is to rescue Connie from Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. The animatronics captured her and are hiding her somewhere in the pizzeria." Steven explains. "Tonight, there is a night shift to watch that the animatronics do anything bad. I'll do that with Mike, the nightguard, and then when the shift is over, we'll go find Connie." 

"Garnet, how's the future looking?" Bismuth says nervously. 

"All positive outcomes where we save Connie. However, there are 3 main differences between most of them." Garnet replies.

"Meaning?" Steven asks.

"I have to let you find out for yourself, Steven," Garnet says coldly.

"What?! Does that mean something happens to us?" Pearl says, on the verge of a breakdown.

"No, we'll all be fine. But Steven needs to deal with this particular part of the future on his own." Garnet says.

"Okay. I can do that!" Steven says confidently. "Let's head down to the pizzeria."

Steven and the Gems make their way down to the pizzeria and head inside. 

"Let me introduce you guys to Mike! He seems like a big fan!" Steven says, heading back to the security office.

"I still don't like this place," Pearl says, looking around. "We should have never let Steven keep coming here after we accidentally left him."

"You guys left him here? That's very irresponsible of you, Pearl." Peridot says sarcastically, Lapis chuckling behind her.

Pearl shoots an annoyed look back at Peridot as Steven comes running back from the office.

"I can't find Mike! I hope the animatronics didn't get to him!" Steven says, a sad and scared look on his face.
