Harry doesn't say anything to me for hours, and before I know it, it's time to leave for the concert.
I put my shoes on and walk the the living room.
Harry looks up at me, completely miserable. His eyes look glassy and pained. "L-Lou?"
"Hey baby..." I kneel down in front of him.
Harry immediately starts to sob.
"Hey, hey, hey," I lift him up a bit so his head is in my lap, "What's the matter?"
"D-don't w-want to be alone. Just w-want you and our b-bed."
"Sweetie, I've gotta— we've gotta get to the concert," I remind him.
Harry shakes his head. "P-please let m-me rest."
"You want to stay here or come with me?"
"S-stay... b-but please d-don't leave m-me alone."
"Oh sweetie... Let me call management to see if I can."
I take out my phone and let the phone ring, once the phone is answered, I speak, "Hey uhm Harry can't come to the show tonight. He's been hurting bad so we went to the hospital this morning and they said he- uhm he has cancer. It hurts him too much to walk so I really don't think he should be out on stage tonight," I explained, "Like I said, he's been hurting and it's been a really bad day for him and I don't want to leave him alone. Can I please sit out on this one? Please, Harry needs me," I begged.
One of the people from management sighs. "He can sit out for today. Just today. He's back at the next show. You need to be here now. You're already late."
"I can't stay with him?" I questioned in disbelief.
"No. Both of you can't be gone. I understand your concern, it just doesn't work today."
"Whatever," I hang up the phone and see Harry already looking at me.
"I'm sorry, Haz but I have to go," I apologize.
Harry's eyes water. "I d-don't want to b-be alone."
"I know you don't, sweetheart. I'm sorry. Did you still want to come and stay backstage or just stay here?"
Harry shakes his head frantically. "I don't w-want to go!"
"Okay, okay. It's okay. You don't have to go. I won't make you go," I rubbed his side soothngly.
Harry clings to me. The poor thing has had such a rough day.
"Let me help you get to our bed. I don't want you to be on the floor for hours," I lifted his head out of my lap and held out my arms for him to take.
Harry willingly grabs my hands, trying his best to stand up.
I struggle to hold him and get his crutches a the same time, but I do.
"Use your crutches baby," I said, remembering that the last time he tried to stand he didn't use them.
Harry takes them. "C-can we cuddle for a m-minute?"
I knew I was already late but if my sick boyfriend wanted to be cuddled, I was gonna cuddle him.
"Yeah, we can. Let's get to the room."
Harry smiles weakly, going to the room.
I pull back the covers and help Harry lay down. I get in on the other side of the bed and bring his back to my chest. I wrap my arm around his waist and bury my face in his hair.
Harry leans back into me. "I l-love you."
"I love you too. So much."
"I'm sorry..."
