Y/N's POV

"Chuseok is the Korean celebration of the good harvest."

Professor Lim had barged into Professor Lee's class to explain the importance of the Korean holiday Chuseok.

CREAK. The door opened slightly, and someone peered in. I watched with my eyebrows raised as Kitty snuck into the classroom. She mouthed 'am I late' at me. I stifled a laugh.

Professor Lee threw her a loathing glance before turning his attention back onto the principal.

"...and it's a time to thank our ancestors for bringing us prosperity and to pay respects to those we have lost. We do that by going home. It is a very special holiday in our house, because family is the most precious thing in the world. And we do not take it for granted."

I took one glance at Yuri's fake smile and felt myself shudder.

Talk about mommy issues. It was clear their family image was well planned and put together, but still fake, just like mine.

Speaking of which, I had no way to get back to my mother in LA, and my father still hadn't answered my spammed messages about visiting.

"My grandparents told me about Chuseok, but I've never had one. It's like... Korean Thanksgiving?" Kitty asked me.

"Yeah, minus the genocide." Yuri interrupted.

"Fair." I whispered.

"It's pretty much the same. You go home, you eat, and you argue with your relatives."

She definitely has mommy issues, daddy issues, or just family issues in general. I took one look at Dae and then Kitty and shrugged. Never mind, everyone here has one or the other.

Professor Lee proceeded to hand out our Lit tests and scold Kitty for her failing score. I told her I'd help her with the next one.

When class ended, Kitty zoomed out of there faster than my dad left for Korea.

"Y/N!" Yuri called just as I was about to go after her.

I sighed, plastered a smile on my face, and turned around. "Hey, Yuri."

"Are you really dating Min Ho?"

Her abruptness surprised me. I just blinked, caught off guard. It was the last thing I expected her to say.

"Um no— yeah." I said, remembering that I was, even if it was fake.

"Dae says he thinks you two are pretending for the fame." she accused instantly.

I grinned, an idea popping into my head. "Nah, but that's a pretty smart idea. It does sound like something I would do. If only you'd thought of that."

Yuri rolled her eyes. "Don't get me started, Y/N."

"You know, you're not really hiding it. I've seen plenty of instances where you and Dae break character. It's so obvious you're faking it." I squinted at her. "I wouldn't be surprised if he were gay."

The evident shock on her face was enough to make another light bulb go off in my head.

"Ahh." I said, smiling. "So you're the one who's gay."

"WHAT?"

"Of course, that doesn't mean Dae isn't gay... is he? If he is, I called it. He just acts so zesty all the time, you know? Actually, wait, 1 in 3 people are gay, and Q's the gay one out of him, Dae, and Min Ho, so... honestly, I can't believe Min Ho's isn't. Like, have you seen how fruity that boy is?"
