The boy smiled at nothing in particular. He just did. In fact, if his friends hadn't questioned his odd behaviour he would've assumed he had a poker face like he usually did after a long day of ghost hunting.

But today was slightly different. It was cool, calling for a sweater weather; a gentle breeze was present, but the sun was still shining and providing its warmth. A nice Friday, quiet and calm. And only two ghosts had bothered him today.

Currently, he was sitting with his friends at their favourite fast food restaurant, Nasty Burger, munching hungrily after a busy day of ghost work. They used to come here so often that it became their designated hang out place, even after graduating. And Danny still thought their burgers tasted great.

Danny stared at the large window not too far from them, admiring the sunset. Soon, they'd have to leave and go for patrol around the city, but the half-ghost didn't mind.

Indeed it was a lovely day.

"Earth to Danny! Man, did you die or something?" Tucker joked, waving his hand in front of his friend's face who wore an unreadable expression.

"Huh? Oh..." the halfa snapped out of his trance and brought his attention back to his best friend. "Yeah, everything's good, just tired."

Sam chuckled. "What were you smiling at then?"

Danny sighed and took a bite into his burger with a genuine calm smile on his face.

"Nothing's changed."
