Avery's POV--
I look out the window of the plane and see nothing but clouds. It's only a two hour flight to Dallas and Memphis fell asleep in the first five minutes. So of course I'm left with nothing else to do but worry about this trip. I still can't believe he got me to agree to come with him to see his family. He wore me down over the last few weeks and even tried to win me over with sexual favors but I still had major doubts his family wouldn't take one look at us and not know we were a couple. And I don't want to slip up or do something wrong and make it obvious we are more than just friends. But in the end I just didn't want to be away from Memphis that long so I agreed to come to Texas against my better judgement.
When we land we are renting a car and making the hour drive to his home town to meet his family and my neveres are getting the better of me the closer we get to landing. I try to relax for the rest of the flight but within minutes the fasten seat belt light turns on with a ding and the pilot comes over the loud speaker and tells us we are preparing for landing.
Memphis sleeps through the announcement so I tug on his ear until he wakes. "What I'm up?" I laugh at him. "I know and just in time for the landing." Memphis looks around the cabin sleepy eyed and I get butterflies in my stomach as we start our decent.
I swear I could kiss the ground when we finally make it outside after reterving our bags and siging all the papers at the car rental counter. We walk up to the brand new Tahoe we just rented and put our bags in the back. I jump in the passangers seat and as soon as Memphis starts the SUV I roll the window down to get some fresh air. I'm not afraid of flying per say I just don't like it.
We drive for twenty minutes before Memphis pulls into a parking lot. "OK little man I have a surprise for you come on." We get out at a restraunt and we walk in and my jaw drops. Walking around in nothing but booty shorts are a bunch of male waiters. The hostess greats us. "Welcome to Tallywackers."
I think Memphis tells her table for two but I'm not really paying attention. We walk to a booth and she hands us our menus. I don't even look at my menu I'm to busy ogling all the male flesh on display. Memphis waves his hand in front of my face. "Earth to Avery. At least look at your menu I'm starving then you can go back to drooling over the waiters right in front of your boyfriend."
I pick up the menu and decide I'm going to order nachos which is the first thing on the menu and put it back down so I can stare some more. "Memphis, you can't blame me this is a gay boys dream I can't belive Texas has this and we dont . This is basically the male equivalent to Hooters."
Memphis looks at me over his menu. "Well even if you are making me feel incredibly insecure I'm still glad I brought you here." I stop looking around and I pay attention to Memphis. "Why?" Memphis grabs my hand over the table. "Because even if it's only for now the stress has melted away from you. And don't try to lie I know you have been stressing about this trip since you agreed to it."
Memphis is right I have been and the momentary shock of this place has made me completely forget about my insecurritie. We eat what feels like all to quickly and I even catch Memphis starring at a couple bubble butts that pass us and we have a genuienly good time but when our fun time is over I feel like I'm going to explode from eating to much and the stress comes back ten fold.
Before long we are driving and getting closer and closer to his parents house. I can tell by the amount of land between driveways that we are in the right area. I think my heart is going to palpitate right of my chest when we pull down the long paved driveway past horses and bulls in pastors. My jaw drops even more than when we walked into Tallywackers when I see the mansion we pull up to. "Memphis you said your land was small and you never once said you were rich look at your parents freaking house. Oh my God I was stressed when I thought I was just meeting your average cowboy simple ranch life family now I see I'm fucking meeting the Jones."
