Chapter 45

After hearing the bad news, everyone just became silent. All they could hear was the sound of the heavy rain. It seemed like the sky was also crying with them from all the sadness that they felt. Everyone then started hearing Sheena's sobs. They gave Sheena the space that she needed but Othelia and Hazel were just in the room next to hers. They were on guard to make sure that Sheena wouldn't do anything stupid, or bring harm to herself.

Not one word was spoken among them and nobody attempted to even say a single word. They still could not accept what happened. Kara's death was the one that has caused the most damage to them.

"Is there any way that I could go with you, Oscar?" Veronica asked. Everyone stared at her.

Oscar shook his head. "No. We already made a promise to Xin that we will never put you in a dangerous situation ever again. You are also still a human. You can't be in hell. I gotta go."

"But who could stop Xin? I'm sure that she would be able to recognize me. I am her sister, after all." Veronica made it her goal to make Oscar agree.

"Kara tried that too...but it didn't work. I am sure that the queens have already devised a plan by now. We will make sure that we will bring Xin back to her senses." Too bad, Oscar just won't agree with Veronica.

"How would you bring her back if two queens couldn't even stop her? Xin is strong. I'm sure that we could stop her if someone she loves would talk to her and bring her back to her senses." Amethyst said. She wanted to stay strong even though she's in pain.

"No, and a BIG NO! I'd rather die than bring you to hell. I am not going to lose someone again. I promise you that I won't come back without Xin. Please believe in me. Xin is strong... I-I know that she will be able to find a way to go back to us." Oscar pleaded to the girls. They became quiet again for a while.

"Just promise to us that you will stay alive," Amara said.

Oscar gave her a faint smile. "Of course... I won't die until I meet my prince charming. I am still waiting for him, after all."

Everyone smiled at his cute joke.

"Just believe in him, baby. Our Xin will go back to us." Heidi cupped Veronica's face using her hands. "She is the bravest person we know. Believe in your sister "

Veronica sighed. "I know she is."

"We just have to wait... There's still hope." Chery leaned her head on Amethyst's shoulder.

Oscar got up. "Well...I'm taking my leave now." He looked at Othelia. "Make sure to keep them all safe...especially, Sheena. I can't afford to bring her to hell if she is not in a good condition."

"I will. I promise. Just bring her back." Othelia gave him a sad smile.

Oscar nodded. "Take care, ladies!" He made a portal and got in.

When Oscar got back to hell, all the queens requested for his presence in Greed's room. They announced that Greed had finally awakened.

Greed looked at everyone. She could tell that they were all pissed off with her shenanigans.

"Tell us everything, Greed. You have already caused massive damage in hell. Don't add some more." Lust said while she was glaring at Greed. She was mad at her for putting her only queen of hell in a dangerous situation. She was glad that she has finally seen the one that she has been waiting for to rule the seven kingdoms...but this isn't the encounter that she had in mind.

Greed sighed. "I wanted her to marry me so that I could be the other ruler of the seven kingdoms."

Everyone gasped. They couldn't believe that Greed would be capable of doing something so crazy of this magnitude. They were already used to Greed's selfishness, but what she did was really outrageous.

"And I...pushed her off the edge when I commanded my subordinate to hurt someone that she cares so much in the human world." Greed continued.

Oscar's expression darkened. "You were the one who put Amethyst in danger! She almost died because of you! Because of you...Kara...died!" He yelled. He couldn't believe it. Kara died because of her selfishness.

"Greed, you cannot rule the seven kingdoms if you are not the demon who is suitable for our queen. Her words are our rule. You just cannot shove your selfishness to her. She is new to our world... You made her do this... You made her kill her own friend." Sloth said.

Pride scoffed. "I could not believe this! Your mind still has not matured until now. Grow up, Greed!"

Greed didn't respond.

"You told her that you hurt Amethyst?" Oscar was still glaring at Greed.

"Yes."

"That was the trigger. Something inside her has awakened!" Oscar raised his voice.

"Calm down, Oscar." Sloth stopped him.

"All the previous kings and queens have two inner demons. The one that they can control and the one that will try to control them. The previous kings and queens killed themselves to prevent such a thing from happening. That inner demon is truly dangerous. Only King Asmodeus was capable of controlling the second demon. There is a rule that if the second inner demon ever awakens, the kings or queens shall kill themselves before the second inner demon could go berserk." Gluttony explained.

"N-No..." Oscar lost all the colors on his face after hearing Gluttony's explanation.

"You are aware of that fact, yet you made the queen awaken her second inner demon, Greed." Envy felt quite disappointed.

"It leaves us no choice. We shall aim for the kill." Sloth announced. "We need to use the spear. It is the only weapon that is capable of hurting her. It is King Asmodeus' spear. He forged it himself."

"No! She hasn't even been crowned as a princess here!" Lust complained.

"We do have no other choice! She already caused massive damage here in hell!" Wrath yelled at Lust.

Oscar just stood in silence. Killing Xin is another bad news for everyone. He thought that they wouldn't be able to take it if Xin also dies.

All the queens agreed to kill Xin, except Lust.

The queens already passed the orders to the finest demon warriors to capture Xin. Wrath, Gluttony, and Pride all went out to lead the warriors.

Oscar didn't know what he was supposed to do. "Is there anything else that we could do?" He sounded so defeated after asking Sloth.

Sloth gave him a sympathetic smile. "This is the only way, darling. If the second inner demon has awakened, then it only means destruction and war here in hell. Even heaven would have to take action if we can't stop her."

Oscar just clenched his jaw. There is nothing more that he could do. He can only let things unfold. It was for everyone's safety. "I'm sorry..." He whispered as he thought about his friends in the human world.
