Chapter 42

Kara's POV

We were all at the hospital, inside Amethyst's suite room. We decided to talk about our plans when Amethyst asked us to do it in her room. She wanted to hear about Xin's condition.

"Kara and I will be heading to the Under realm...but we can't head straight to Greed's kingdom. I need to ask for permission from my Queen first." Oscar started.

"Who is your queen there?" Amara asked. She was seated beside Amethyst and Cherry.

"Sloth... She's kinda weird but she is trustworthy." Oscar answered.

"And how about you?" Amara. pointed at me.

"Pride. Sheena and I are under the same queen. Othelia's queen is...Lust." I answered.

Veronica shook her head. "Lust? I remember Greed mentioning her name."

"Well... Lust is very affectionate towards the previous queen of the seven kingdoms. She is always like that to the new king or queen next in line to claim the throne. Xin hasn't been officially proclaimed as the crown princess yet because we just learned that her power has just awakened. We saw some other demons lurking here in your world. They feel her power too...but hey suddenly vanished when Xin went missing too..." I explained.

"Is she a dangerous one?" Cherry asked, looking worried.

I looked at Othelia. "She's not dangerous. She is just...you know...love sex...and she loved the previous kings and queens. She can be trusted...a lot." Othelia answered for me. "But she hates Envy. She got jealous when the previous kings and queens loved Envy's presence more than Lust."

"Xin needs to take care of these kids." Amethyst snickered. We all smiled at her. She wasn't wrong at all. King Asmodeus had always had a problem with Lust, Envy, and Greed. He always had to deal with their petty fights.

I felt Sheena's hand, sneaking her fingers on my waist. She didn't like the idea of her being left in the human world with Othelia to protect the girls. She wanted to be with me. I gave her a light smile and she sighed.

"When will you be heading there?" Veronica asked while Heidi was comforting her.

"After this. We need to act fast." Oscar answered.

They all agreed.

Sheena pulled me out of the room. I was kinda curious why she was acting the way she did. She's become clingy.

"Kara..."

"Yes?" I looked down to meet her gaze. I'm way taller than her.

"Please come back safe."

I smiled and caressed her face. She looked at me and met my stare. "I will..."

"I almost lost you w-when Ricky tried to-"

I placed my index finger on her red lips. "I was stupid at that time. My hatred clouded my judgment...but I felt better when Xin saved me. She erased all the pain from the bad memories that Ricky caused me. The nightmares stopped. I don't know what she did, but...I was thankful when she saved me so that I can go back to you... I wanted to do what she wanted me to do...with you."

Sheena's eyes sparkled. I saw happiness. "W-What do you mean?"

I felt her warm breath on my finger. I glanced at her red lips and I gulped. I've been wanting to kiss her lips for a hundred years. I was such a loser because I was scared. I was jealous when someone tried to win her heart...but I acted like a bitch to stop them. I wanted to be honest this time.

"S-Sheena...would you be able to accept my selfishness? Or how my anger gets the best of me a lot of times?" I was getting so nervous about it.

She blinked. "Of course, I would. You're my best friend. I'll accept everything about you."

"Even if I...I want to make you mine?"

Sheena's eyes went wide, her mouth opened. I felt my heart stop for a moment when I saw fear and regret in her eyes. I stepped back and calmed myself. I wasn't able to breathe properly but I needed to stay strong.

"I'm sorry..." was all that I was able to say. I walked away and let out a shaky breath. I saw Oscar waiting for me.

He gave me a gentle smile as he tapped my shoulder. "Let's go..."

I was kinda thankful that he didn't say anything about it. I knew that he saw and heard everything. Oscar has always known about what I truly felt for Sheena. He also knew how stupid I was for being a coward. The fear I felt when I confessed to her was devouring me. I wish I could just eat the pain that I was feeling.

We got in the portal and headed towards Sloth's kingdom first. When we arrived, we felt something different. The demons were scrambling around like there was some sort of an emergency. We were confused but went inside the castle anyway.

"Where is Queen Sloth?" Oscar asked one of the kingdom's warriors.

"They are in a meeting right now. All the queens are gathered there." The warrior answered

"The queens?!" We answered in unison.

We immediately ran towards the large hall where everyone was gathered.

"Oscar?" Sloth noticed us. The queens looked at us.

We bowed as a gesture of respect. "My queen, we are here to ask for help," Oscar said.

"Not now, darling. We are in the middle of a very important meeting right now." Sloth answered.

"Leave. It is rude to just barge in when all the queens are gathered here for an important meeting." Wrath said while looking irritated because of our sudden appearance.

"But my queen, this is also of utmost importance." Oscar insisted.

All the queens frowned on us.

"What is it?"

I looked at the most gorgeous woman in the hall, Lust. She really has big breasts and a curvy body.

"We don't have time for a petty request. Greed is severely injured and the kingdom is in a state of imbalance as of now!" Wrath yelled at us.

We flinched and bent our knees. Greed was wounded? How?

"My apologies! But this is also of importance. The future queen of the seven kingdoms has gone missing!" I answered.

Silence filled the room. All we could hear were the commotion outside.

"Queen of the seven kingdoms? For real? Kara?" Pride asked me.

"Yes, my queen." I looked up so that I could see their faces. They were all shocked.

"The queen is here?!" Lust suddenly stood up and smiled so brightly.

"Greed took her," I answered again.

Sloth stood up upon hearing my answer. "Explain."

I looked at Oscar and he nodded. We explained everything that had transpired. They all listened intently until we were done.

"I don't know what really happened, but Greed is still unconscious. She is the only one who can explain everything. Her kingdom was almost completely ruined. Half of her army is dead." Envy said. "When we arrived there, she was already half dead. We didn't see anyone there."

All the queens nodded. "Do you think it's the queen who has caused it?" Lust asked us.

"We are not sure. Xin will not do such a thing unless she's triggered. We've always known her as a calm person. She never hurt women." I said. Xin won't do this to Greed. Perhaps, someone else did it.

"I sent my warriors to find the culprit. May we see what our queen looks like?" Lust excitedly clapped her hands.

Oscar stood in front of them and did some magic. A picture of Xin appeared in front of us. My eyes went wide. What the?! Xin was bloody sweaty in her sports bra and sports shorts.

I nudged Oscar. "When did you take this picture?" I yelled at him in a whisper.

He chuckled. "Amara asked me to take this picture."

All the queens gasped. I saw how they were mesmerized by Xin's look. I took a glance at Lust. She was drooling, her eyes became green. I just facepalmed.
