Mayson's POV:
Over the school year, I got sicker, and skinnier, but no one noticed, because I wear baggy clothes, you could now see my ribs in my reflection. I had lost my appetite. We got a new member after Winter Break, Dawn Scafher, she moved here from California. Tomorrow my mom's getting married. Tonight is the last night me and Kristy will share a room, the last night in our home.
"A brand new BMW?" Stacey asked as Kristy and I told them about Watson buying Charlie a car.
"What color?" Claudia asked.
"Dark. Black, maybe. I don't know. It's a little..."
"Chic? Fabulous? Sleek?" Stacey asked.
"Flashy. But at least now Charlie has to drive us to and from all our jobs and club meetings. It's my mom's condition for letting him keep the car." Kristy told them. We talked about the wedding and then Camp Moosehead, then me and Kristy had to leave to get our bridesmaid dresses. I also learned I'm now taller than Kristy.
I stared at my reflection in it, the dress looked like a banana peel and I looked really skinny, really underweight, which I was. I hate this. Kristy did too, but the only problem for her was it looked like a banana. We tried on Carolina Herrera's which were better, it made me look a little more healthy. Those are what we ended up getting.
"Mace, are you okay? You've lost a lot of weight." Kristy asked that night as we finished up packing.
"Yeah, I'm good." I told her.
While getting ready Kristy and our mom had an argument then Kristy cried during the wedding, we walked into the reception together and went over to our friends.
"You two look so pretty."
"Those dresses."
"You guys look gorgeous."
"How do you feel?"
"Fine. Fine. Have you guys seen my mom?" Kristy asked.
"I think she's still doing photos." Mary Anne told her. A few minutes later her and Watson came out and started dancing. When other couples joined in I turned to Stacey.
"Wanna dance?" I asked. She took my hand. That night Kristy ended up getting her period for the first time.
