Scene 16 - Princess Lucia's First Sea Mixed Greens
Later in the noontime, Pearl made something to cheer Lucia up.
The purple mermaid brought over the wooden cutting board of chopped sea greens.
Pearl peeks inside of her mer-son's bedroom.
The purple mermaid sighs.
The princess was seated on Lucien's bed.
Lucia was cautious to touch the three lines on her neck.
Her gills on her right side of her neck.
Then, the princess touches her rose gold tail fin.
Lucia was melancholy.
The dark gray seal appeared before Pearl enters the room.
It has something on its mouth.
The princess noticed the sea animal immediately.
Princess Lucia: Pup.
The dark gray seal goes to Lucia with a plant on its mouth.
The golden dot with white long petals.
The princess made a sad smile.
Princess Lucia: Oh, is the flower for me?
Pup smiled while holding the pretty thing.
The purple mermaid was compassionate.
Pearl: Hello, dear. I see your seal friend here knows how to make you happy too.
Lucia took the white flower from the dark gray seal.
Pup gives the pink mermaid a kiss on her right cheek.
The purple mermaid shook her head.
Pearl: All right, you silly seal! The mermaid needs food! Go play with the merman!
The dark gray seal acknowledged the purple mermaid.
It left the princess and Pearl.
Pup swam out of the House of Seashells.
The cerulean merman sat on the seagrass.
He made a slight smile.
Lucien: Did Lucia got the flower?
The dark gray seal lays on its belly on the sand.
It still smiles.
Then, Pup stared at the cerulean merman.
The dark gray seal expressed a mischief animal.
Pup: Uh-huh, uh-huh...
He raised his right eyebrow.
Lucien: Why are you making a face at me for? I picked it for her.
The dark gray seal blows a raspberry at him.
The cerulean merman smirks.
Lucien: Pup, you don't know what love is.
The dark gray seal blew a raspberry at him again.
The white seal with black spots pokes its head from the seaweed.
It was looking at the cerulean merman.
Lucien: Seriously, Pup, the mermaid likes you as a friend.
The white seal glanced at the dark gray seal.
Pup makes a raspberry noise again.
The cerulean merman chuckles.
Lucien: She's not your type.
The dark gray seal creates a sound of raspberry at him.
The white seal covers its mouth.
It was giggling at Pup.
The white seal watches the dark gray seal happily.
Pearl left the pink mermaid the cutting board of sea greens.
The purple mermaid was still compassionate.
Pearl: I figured I could bring you something to eat after your swimming lesson today. I hope this makes you happy dear.
Lucia browsed at the wooden cutting board.
The princess made a funny face after looking at the unusual green leaves.
Princess Lucia: Are these vegetables or something?
The purple mermaid was confident.
Pearl: Oh, it's just sea mixed greens. Seaweeds, sea grapes, sea kelps, algae, you name it.
The rose gold mermaid choked in disgust.
Lucia smiled awkwardly.
Princess Lucia: Well, I appreciate what you made for me.
The pink mermaid shook her head.
Princess Lucia: Ah, thank you again but I'm not hungry.
The princess was just being polite.
The purple mermaid was confused.
Pearl: Have you ever eaten a fish before?
There's a question that Lucia knew so well.
The rose gold mermaid shook her head again.
Princess Lucia: No.
Lucia explains.
Princess Lucia: My mother requested to my father not to eat food from the sea anymore. We kinda grown up with just vegetables and fruits.
The purple mermaid made a proud smile at her.
Pearl: That's good to hear dear. People on land need to let go of the fishes on water. I can't imagine the ocean without them.
Then, the purple mermaid was frowning.
Pearl: Take that bass fish for instance. It got caught by the fisherman one day and then what happens. The bass fish became the singing sensation.
The purple mermaid shook her head.
Pearl: Humans in the world right now.
The princess took a little bite of the seaweed.
Just to get the purple mermaid to stop talking about fish and other things.
Lucia has lots of stuff in her mind.
Her mother and father.
Her twin brother.
Oh, she hopes Lucas will soon realize that what he done was wrong.
The pink mermaid glanced at the seashell comb on the nightstand.
The white Venus Comb Murex.
Lucia chews while wondering the seashell comb.
And then, the pink mermaid suddenly got astounded.
It was the same white Venus Comb Murex on the beach.
Six years ago.
Someone kept it for the princess.
Yet whoever found the seashell comb in the sea?
Her thoughts are interrupted by the purple mermaid.
She was delighted.
Pearl: How's my homemade sea greens doing for you dear?
The pink mermaid keeps chewing on the seaweed. She would have gagged. Spit it out after her first taste. Get sick.
But instead, Lucia seems to enjoy it.
The princess made a nervous smile.
Princess Lucia: It's good actually.
The princess sighed. She can't believe herself that she loved seaweed.
