Table talk

The lunch bell finally rang after what felt like days of endless talking from the teacher.

You follow other students to the cafeteria and your surprise a jam-packed room full of kids from different clicks.

You feel like you would never find your way around this sea of students until you see that beautiful, familiar face waving from the other side of the room.

You stumble across people trying to find a way of getting to her without stomping on someone's head

"Y/N!" She yells

You grab a lunch tray to quickly fill it with the disgusting cafeteria food just so you can claim your spot quickly.

You have a seat next to Christina.

Around you, there are several unfamiliar faces. "Guys, meet y/n!" Christina introduces you to the people who you now remember as Dana, Mylee, and Izzy.

They seemed quite welcoming, yet they all had very different personalities.

You ate fifty percent of your food until you almost threw up.

You pushed it away from yourself.

"Do you not like it?" The one named Mylee asked.

"It has a... interesting taste..." you say negatively.

"Don't worry, we hate the food too," Izzy whispers over to me.

Christina is a lot more shy than the other few, you're sure it's an overstatement because she can get a lot weirder with her friends, but with other people, she also keeps to herself.

But that's how you relate to her.

In that way, you feel a lot more connected with her. And it only made you admire her more. You fidget with your hair, curling your fingers around it.

You just stare at Christina and her perfect features.

"Is there something wrong.?" Dana blurts.

She seems to feel awkward around you.

"Nope, nothing!" You shoot back.

You lift your gaze off of Christina. And instead, attach it to the table.

And after that, the entire day went like a light memory.
