Link's P.O.V.

"..."

"...Link..."

"...Open your eyes..."

Who is this? Who's calling out to me? Where am I? Who am I?

"Open your eyes."

The voice sounds female. Who is she? I feel something liquidy around me and now I feel it draining. Now all I feel is a hard surface underneath me.

"Open your eyes."

Yeah, alright! Gimme a minute. Just let me remember who I am. I'm guessing my name is Link, but...who the hell would name someone that? That's a ridiculous name! I can't seem to remember anything. It's like...the more I try, the more it slips away. What's happened to me? Finally, I decided to open my eyes. It's dark...only a faint blue glow pierced the darkness. There's this weird structure above me with twinkling blue lights. I'm guessing this is some sort of machine? The faint humming of the machine stops, and I sit up.

I was lying on some sort of bed. I also realise I only have underpants on. Great...I'm naked. I see blonde hair resting on either side of my face. I reached back to find the rest of the hair on the side of my face pulled back into a ponytail, leaving the back down, but secured underneath the ponytail. I touch my pointed ears to find small hoop earrings.

The voice seems to have stopped calling out to me. Maybe I offended her? Can she read my thoughts?! Or did I say that out loud?... I decided to get out of the bed (finally) that I'd been laying on. I look around, the ground feeling cold underneath my feet. I walk over to a pedestal and see a little slate-looking thing wedged in a gap in it.

"That is the Sheikah Slate. It will be your guide after your long slumber."

Oh...here's the voice again. I take the slate and the door opens. I still don't know who this girl is. The door opens to reveal yet another room. I look around and find two wooden chests. One contains a worn shirt that doesn't fully cover me all the way to my waist, and the other one contains worn pants and shoes. The pants don't go down to my ankles, and the shoes have holes in them. Oh well, it's better than nothing.

I see a pedestal near another door. It doesn't have a gap for the slate though. What should I do?

"Line the circle in the middle of the eye on the slate up with the circle in the middle of the pedestal. That will open the door."

I did as I was told. The pedestal which was once glowing orange, turned blue with a hum. The door opened, revealing a pond with a rock that had very broken stairs on it. I climbed up the rock and found another pedestal. I did the same thing as the other one and the door opened, revealing a bright light. I had to shield my eyes from the bright light.

"You are our light. Go. Hyrule needs you. Hyrule's fate rests with you!"

Talk about pressure. I don't even know who you are, woman!

"Who are you?" I asked, determined to find out, but there was no reply.

I ran outside, seeing a rock overhanging above a forest. I run out to it and look at the breathtaking world before me. The grass was a bright green and the chirping of birds filled my ears. The world seemed so peaceful. I peered down at the marvellous green trees that hid the ground over in the forest. I looked up before frowning. In the distance was a castle. It was surrounded by this blacky-magenta mist and from what I could tell, it was in ruins. I decide to make my way down a path to my right. Picking up Hylian Shrooms and a tree branch as a makeshift weapon, should I need it as I saw weird red creatures earlier.
