Time passed since Daniel was shown his soon to be new arm. It was late. He was able to see Flynn, Elliot, and Tyler today. They all went to visit Flynn since he was the only one who couldn't walk. He was finally happy for the first time in two weeks. Has it been 2 weeks? He didn't know, everyday became a blur. He was sitting in bed, the pain medicine and numbing had mostly worn off, so everything hurt a lot more than earlier. He was wincing at every movement he did on his left side. His brothers were asleep in their chairs. Loki sat in a chair beside the bed, gently rubbing his youngest son's back. He then kissed the top of his head. "I'm so sorry I let this happen to you, Dan." He whispered. "It's not your fault dad. It was them." He responded as he laid his head against his father. "I didn't get there quick enough. I could've prevented it." Loki said sternly. "Don't blame youself-" he was cut off. "Blame me." Bucky said, as he walked into the room. "They wouldn't be attacking you if it weren't for me." Him nor Loki knew how to respond to that. "That's not true, James.." "It is...But let's not talk about this now. I don't want to get Daniel worked up when he should be resting." Bucky said, pulling up a chair and sitting next to Loki. Daniel looked at his father with sad eyes. He was curious to know what he meant. "Does it hurt any, Bud?" "Just a little.. but I'm fine." He answered. "People already call you my lookalike, now you're gonna be even more my lookalike with this arm." Bucky smiled, trying to bring up the mood. He ruffled Daniel's hair. They all laughed softly. "Yeah." "Are you excited for your prosthetic?" Loki asked. "Yeah, but I'm a little scared.. what if it doesn't feel right or I can't move it.." "That's how it'll start out to be. But don't worry, soon enough it will feel nice and you'll have full control again." Bucky assured. Daniel reached out his right arm, signaling for a hug from Bucky, he got the memo easily. He reached over and gently hugged Daniel. "You're so strong, Bud." Daniel laid back and yawned. "I love you Dads, thanks for being there for me." "Of course." Loki and Bucky said in unison. With that, Daniel fell asleep and the two fathers went to bed.
