— And that's why I suggest a night session, the lights would be more accurate.
— But the product is not appreciated, I suggest that would be fine a day session with something tropical.
It wasn't the best time to be in a meeting and Yoongi was regretting agreeing to have this meeting today. He only needed an argument before with his ex for him to be in the worst mood in the boardroom, especially when Taehyung was also present as the main model for the business.
He was listening to the chatter of the editor and the photographer, but he wasn't paying any attention. And as a small blessing for him, his assistant interrupted by knocking on the door and his hands were carrying a small tray with cups of coffee for everyone.
— Your coffee, Mr. Min. I made it loaded for what's left of the meeting.
— Thanks, I feel like a few more minutes and I could jump out the window. — The older one joked which caught the attention of his partners.
— Excuse me, Mr. Min... Who is the boy? I had never seen it.
The boy stood up and with a quiet smile respectfully introduced himself.
— Park Jimin, it's a pleasure to meet you. I am Mr. Min's personal assistant.
— Assistant? Ow... Aren't you just the kindest and cute boy? Why haven't you invited him to join the meetings, Yoongi?
— Because he's just an assistant. It's the only thing he can be. — Taehyung didn't hesitate to answer for him in a derogatory way.
— Come now, he also has the right to be here. Son, sit over here.
Jimin was unsure if he should be there but agreed since he didn't have much of a choice. The meeting continued and Jimin contributed some simple ideas that ended up pleasing everyone except Taehyung who, throughout the meeting, kept looking at him awkwardly.
Now he felt sorry for Yoongi.
— I hope to see you more often in the meetings, young man. We will take your ideas for the next session. — The editor patted the boy on the shoulder in a friendly way.
— I appreciate it very much, sir.
Before leaving, Taehyung left the room last but not before rudely giving the meeting papers to Jimin.
— I hope your stupid idea doesn't give me an allergy in the middle of the sessions. You will pay dearly if that happens.
Jimin didn't flinch much but he was surprised by the amount of hate towards him. Was it simply for being his ex's assistant? He supposed that the boy was not going to give up so easily. He looked at Yoongi and hesitated a bit about what he would do next, even if it wasn't the best of his ideas.
— Come with me, Mr. Min.
The boy directed him to his office and closed the doors making sure no one was listening.
— I know you're not feeling well and I'm worried to see you so discouraged and distracted. That's why I thought you'd want to get out for a moment, get out of the place.
— Go out? Are you asking me out with you? — Yoongi didn't expect such a proposal, but he shrugged uncertainly.
— Very funny. I mean get out of town. The shoot won't be done for a few weeks and you don't have much work... So, I got you a ticket to Daegu.
Among a folder that he always carried with him, Jimin removed an envelope with various travel papers and handed them to his boss who immediately shook his head.
