"What are you doing!" Alice shouted.
"Getting us out of here before we are killed!" She whispered and yelled.
"What?!"
"Keep it down! He will hear you."
Daisy continued to pull Alice along with her as they ran as quickly as their short legs could take them."Daisy please stop my legs are tired." She wined. "We can't I'm sorry, but we will stop in a few minutes. We just need to get far enough so we won't find us." Daisy explained. "Who will?" She asked. "The Doc!" Daisy attempted to sprint even faster but she tripped and fell onto her face.
Once she gets her face off of the ground her face is covered in mud and grime. "Daisy, are you alright?" She said in pure concern. "I am fine we just have to keep going! I'm not going back with him ok." Daisy sounded very frightened to go back with the person she called Doc. Alice helped Daisy to her feet. "We are almost there ok?" Daisy said to reassure Alice. "Alright.." Alice took out a small handkerchief from her dress pocket and lightly wiped the mud and dirt from Daisy's face. She flinched at Alice's touch, but let her help.
After Alice helps clean up Daisy a little bit they start walking again. "Where are we going again?" Alice asked. "A secret place. I've been building it and sneaking stuff in it for months." She replied.
"Is that so? Why is that? Did you have this all planned?" She asked a few more questions. "Well, it didn't go according to my plan but yes. I planned to go there after tonight. It has food, blankets, coloured pencils, and my favourite drawings I made." Daisy had a huge grin on her face.
"You smile a lot," Alice said. "Mama said I should smile to not make the Doc upset." She responded. "You don't have to smile as much anymore if you don't want to. This Doc isn't here right now." Alice said. "Oh yeah. But I am ok, I do not feel like frowning right now." Daisy spoke with a smile once more.

They get to a tree, a very large tree and there's a small tree hollow you can crawl into. "Ok just follow me." Daisy easily fits into the hole with her small size. Alice crawled in after. It was a bit snug but when she got in she saw the whole inside of the large tree was hollow. "Tada!" Daisy spoke in an excited voice.
"Oh my. It looks way different than the outside." She said.
The inside of the tree had drawings hung up around the walls. The ground was covered in blankets and pillows of all kinds. From the farthest spot where she stood, there was a small table with pencils, paper, and crayons. When Alice glanced up, it was hollow all the way to the top of the tree.
Daisy noticed that Alice was looking up to the top. "Yeah, I'm planning to build a latter so I can sit up there."
"Oh, very cool." She smiles.
Daisy sits down on one of the pillows. "So I found these things on the ground near the river and they smell weird. Do you know what this says?" Daisy held out a crayon.
"Crayon? It's made out of a wax-type thing. I used to eat the wrappers." She chuckles
"Oo!" Daisy instantly took the paper off of the crayon and started to eat it.
"What don't eat it!" Alice shouts trying to hold back her laughter.
"Huh? Why not you said you did." She said as she continued to munch on the paper."Because it isn't good for you!" She couldn't control her laughter anymore.
"It isn't?! Then why did you eat it!"
"Because I was dumb!"Daisy shrugs and continues to eat the paper.
"Daisy! Stop eating that!"
"But it tastes good!"Alice grabbed the box of crayons and put them in her dress pocket. "Hey! Not very nice."
"I'm not letting you eat those!"
"You are a stinky butt!"
"Oh wow so professional." Alice rolls her eyes and sits down on a pillow across from Daisy."It's a bit dark in here do you have any candles?"
"Oh, it's ok I can just do a light spell."
Daisy summons a light spell with a smooth movement of her hand. a small ball of light is formed and floats above the table."Oh wow! That's so cool can you show me how to do that?" Alice says with complete amazement.
"Sure you can try. You just do this." Daisy does the hand movement again and another ball of light appears. "Okay!" Alice's eyes sparkle with excitement.
Alice does the hand movement and it doesn't work. "Huh?" She tries it again and still nothing. "What am I doing wrong?" Alice sounded very disappointed with a hint of jealousy, that Daisy could and she can not. Alice keeps trying but keeps failing over and over again. Alice looks like she's on the brake of tears. "Hey, it's ok! Maybe humans just can't do magic."
Daisy scoots over and hugs Alice. "I think so too. Well, hopefully, I am just bad at this." Alice rubs her eye wiping her small amount of tears away.
"It's ok if you are bad it's for the first time. This is the only spell I know right now." Daisy let out a small laugh. She lets go of Alice but is sitting a bit closer to her now.
"It is? I thought witches would know all magic." Alice sounded very confused at this.
"Well we have to learn but I um... let's just say I was instructed very little." Daisy's facial expression looked very uncomfortable. Alice did not want to push any further to make her uncomfortable.
"Alright. It's fine you don't have to tell me anymore." Alice said attempted to make her feel more comfortable. She didn't want her new friend to not like her.
"Thank you." She gave a small smile to show how much that meant to her just by saying that.
There was suddenly the sound of rustling of bushes. The girls went silent...
