Sisterhood.

In girlhood's tender days of yore,
We yearned to learn so much more,
Learning in the company of friends,
And bonding as sisters till the end.

In a sisterhood that seeks the past,
Encircled by antique memories to last,
The women who paved the way,
Their stories echo on to this day.

Those who walked before our feet,
Their courage, wisdom, and power meet,
Their unbreakable bond continues on,
Their sisterhood, their legacy, strong.

We continue their story with our own,
A path that's never alone,
In adventures, trials, and goals we conquer,
As sisters, we're forever stronger.

We're all connected, you and I,
By a bond that cannot be denied,
So let us stand and raise a cheer,
For all the sisters that are here.

A poem about embracing girlhood and being connected to ours sisters; biological or not. About relating to all of the women that were here before us and realizing that we aren't as different from them as we think we are.
I love being a woman, sisterhood is a beautiful thing and I hope everyone has the chance to experience it.
