At last, I've reached the age of seventeen
A milestone in life I've never seen
The past sixteen years have flown by fast
But now I stand here, ready at lastI'm no longer a kid, nor yet a full grown
But somewhere in the middle, trying to hone
The skills and talents that I possess
To make something of myself, and impressI'm filled with excitement, and a bit of fear
As I face new challenges that draw near
I'm eager to learn and grow and expand
To make my mark in this vast landSeventeen is a time of change and flux
As I navigate a world that seems tough
But with each passing day, I'll gain strength
And learn to thrive, no matter the lengthI'll make mistakes, but that's okay
For they'll help me learn along the way
And with each obstacle that I face
I'll find a way to persevere with graceSo cheers to seventeen, let's raise a glass
To the memories we'll make, and the challenges we'll surpass
With every step we take, we'll gain new skills
And when we look back, we'll see the thrillOf all the moments that we've lived
And all the lessons that we've received
So here's to seventeen, and all that it brings
May it be a year of growth and beautiful things.
