I would just quickly like to point out that there are generally small time skips between two chapters.

"Get up Jaeger!" I shout as Eren holds his stomach in pain, trying to stand back up.
"We've been doing this for hours." He complains between shaky breaths.
"You wanted me to teach you, that means you have to train." I say, crossing my arms.
"But it doesn't matter how good I get you're still better. You see all my moves coming before I do." He groans.
"That's because I'm the one training you, you go off what I say and that makes it easy to determine what moves you'll use. That and you just suck." I tell him, picking out the dirt under my nails. He grunts and moves into a fighting stance.
"You can't go easy on me even a little?" He asks, taking a deep breath.
"Nope." I respond.
It's been almost a week of this, Eren's been improving in combat at a steady pace but once he loses a couple times he starts to get impatient and lets his head get in the way. He's been doing the breathing exercises I taught him but they don't seem to be doing enough to regulate his determination to win.
Eren exhales slowly and starts to circle me, raising his fists.
"You got this Eren!" Armin calls, watching a few meters away along with Jean and Mikasa. I wait until he's behind me and wait another moment to drop into a crouch, the kick he made going right over my head. He grunts with frustration but doesn't waver.
I roll over my shoulder and jump up just as his heel slams into the ground where I was a moment ago. I keep dodging his attacks as he grows more and more irritated.
"Too slow." I grin, ducking under his arm. He throws another punch at me and I grab his wrist, bending his elbow and pushing him backwards.
"Is that all you got?" I tease, crossing my arms behind my back.
"I hate you." He mutters, glaring at me.
"That's not very nice." I chide, dodging his kick. His eyes narrow as he brings his fists closer to his chest.
"Just hit me, it's easy." I roll my eyes, spinning away as he elbows the air near my head.
"You suck man!" Jean calls, booing everytime Eren misses.
"Shut your mouth horseface!" He shouts back angrily. I can't help but chuckle at the nickname.
"Breathe." I tell him, dropping to a crouch as he moves closer.
He nods and takes a shaky breath in, calming himself down.
"Okay." He murmurs, taking light steps around me.
"Good, now try and dodge this." I tell him.
"Dodge wha-" He gets cut off as I kick up from the ground and drive my heel toward his side, knocking him over.
Eren groans as he hits the ground, rubbing his side in pain.
"There's no way your dad was this hard on you when you trained." He says, taking my offered hand and pulling himself up.
"No, he was a lot tougher." I tell him.
"That's hard to believe. You're practically driving my soul into the ground." He says.
I scoff, placing my hands on my hips. "My dad wanted me to be able to protect myself, there were a lot of dangerous people where I grew up so he started training me early."
"Well it sure payed off." Eren responds, dusting himself off as we head back to our friends.
"That was just sad Jaeger." Jean says, shaking his head.
"Shut it. If you're so confident why don't you fight her." Eren growls, narrowing his eyes.
"Oh...uh...Y/n and I are good friends, I don't wanna jeopardize that by accidentally hurting her." He replies as he glances between me and Eren.
Eren scoffs at his bravado.
"I'm sure she wouldn't mind sparring with you." Mikasa says, an amused smile on her lips.
"Mhm, she's pretty tough." Armin agrees.
"Yeah, come on Kirstein." I say, smirking at his clear nervousness.
