Alyssa
Everything happened so fast! We found Vincent's parents lying in pools of their blood. I don't remember who called the Doctor, but three disappeared inside the room, including Dr. Solus. Audrey was in shock, tears streaming down her face. Alexandria wouldn't stop yelling at everyone despite the fact they were only trying to help.
But Vincent. I've never seen this expression on his face. He stood over his mother, trying to stop the bleeding. He looked emotionless. It was chaos. The next thing I knew, we were all at the hospital. I threw up after the shock passed. I don't know if it was from tonight or if it was disappearing instantly.
Dr. Solus yelled at the intercom, saying he needed all available personnel to tend to the King and Queen, and they both required surgery. I was running with Vincent and others, but the nurse stopped us from going further.
"I'm not leaving!" Alexandria growled.
"I'm sorry, but you need to give the doctors the space they need to do their job," the nurse said.
Alexandria was screaming at the top of her lungs at the nurse.
"Alex, you need to stop!" Vincent got on his knees and started breathing heavily. "I don't feel so good," he rasped.
"Vincent!" I rushed to his side.
"Stand back!" The nurse kneeled by Vincent. "We need help over here!" she yelled as the other nurse placed him on a stretcher. "Please stay back!"
"Don't you tell me what I can or can't do! I'm the Princess of Varrfarrinn; I can do whatever I damn well please," Alex snarled as she was about to have a forced shift.
"Alex, you need to stop," I said, touching her shoulder. "This isn't going to help your parents or Vincent,"
"I'll let you know as soon as I know something, your highness," the nurse said, then left.
"You fucking better!" Alex threatened.
"Alex, I know it's not my place," I said.
"That's right, so back the hell off!" Alexandria growled. Her eyes glowed; she was about to lose control of her dragon.
"I know how stressed you are, but you are forgetting that your sister is here too, and she needs you," I said. "I know you are always trying to be tough. But right now, she needs you to be with and hold her. So drop the tough bitch act, and be the sister Audrey needs,"
For a moment, I thought Alexandria would yell at me. But her shoulders fell, and she looked defeated. Her eyes returned to normal, and she embraced Audrey. "It's going to be alright; we have a strong family,"
"Nicely done, I was getting sick of the tough bitch act," Dahlia praised.
"I understand her. Alex is just worried," I said.
"I'm sure they will be alright, but we should get a first aid kit or some help. We are still bleeding," Dahlia pointed out the sharp pain on my sides. I guess the adrenaline wore off.
It's too bad I can only use my healing power to heal others, not myself. Never heard of healing magic that only works like that." I managed to find bandages and clean the wound. Five holes that damn dragon made on my sides. Most had stopped bleeding, but the cuts on my scars were still bleeding. I hissed at the pain when I applied the alcohol to the wound.
"Need any help?" Alexandria said as she walked through the door. I jumped in surprise, knocking over medical supplies. "I didn't mean to spook you, I'm sorry,"
"Is there any news on your parents?" I asked.
"No, no one has come out of the operating room. I can't lose my parents, Vincent and Audrey; I still need them," Alex cried as I began to hug her. "What are you doing?"
