Alyssa
The battle was over, and most of Sozin's warriors had been captured or killed. Vincent and some others had searched the premises, but it seemed that Elijah vanished into the wind. I had spent all that extra energy healing the wounded but was exhausted. "Damn it," I said as I searched through Elijah's records in his office for anything useful.
"Alyssa?" Vincent said as he opened the door.
"There has to be something here that will tell us where we would go," I grunted.
Vincent wrapped his arms around me and kissed my neck. "We'll find him love, don't worry," Vincent turned me around to face him. He gave me a small peck on the forehead, making me relax a little. "You'll go crazy looking through all this stuff. Elijah is going to pay for what he's done. But right now, we need to take a breather. It's been a tough couple of weeks,"
King Zayne was murdered nearly two weeks ago, which started this whole mess, reminding me how much had happened in such a short time.
"Am I interrupting something?" Jacob said.
"Not at all," Vincent said, facing Jacob.
"Elizabeth is here as well," Jacob added.
"We've brought a guest, your highness," Elizabeth smiled.
Henry entered the office with Gabrial, his wrists and neck cuffed with draconite. It was clear that Jacob knew who he was by the look he gave him. I had to admit that seeing him like this brought a little smile to my face. "Henry!?" I said. "You're alive!"
"Oh, I forgot to mention that," Vincent said.
"It's good to see you're alright," I smiled and nodded.
"Ugh, seriously, could you stop with all this emotional crap? It's making me sick!" Gabrial gagged. I punched Gabrial in the nose. "You bitch, you broke my nose!"
"Sorry, I was aiming for your jaw to shut you up. I can try again if you'd like?"
Gabrial opened his mouth to say something but closed it and grunted. "There's a good boy," I said.
"Every Sozin warrior has either been killed or captured. We put the dungeons in this place to good use," Elizabeth said.
"About time these bastards get a taste of their own medicine," I said.
"What about the leader?" Elizabeth asked.
"Unknown, he got away," Vincent crossed his arms.
"I've contacted the other kingdoms, and with the help of our allies, they have taken back their domains. Except for the dragon kingdom in the United States of America. That one is still overrun," Elizabeth said.
"We will reclaim America, but for tonight, everyone needs to enjoy this victory. We'll regroup tomorrow to about our next step," Vincent said.
"Elizabeth, I want you to put Gabrial in the smallest cell in this castle," I said.
"Gabrial?" I turned around and saw Annabeth, rage covering her face.
"Vincent, I came here to tell you that everyone has been securely locked in a cell. Is this him?" Annabeth asked me. "Is this the bastard that killed Isabella? MY FATED MATE?!" Annabeth stepped right before Gabrial, staring at him with a killer look. Annabeth shoved her fist into Gabrial's chest and pulled out his heart, but no blood was on her hands. I have to stop her.
"Annabeth, I can't imagine what you are feeling right now. But he's not worth it," I said.
"The hell he is! Crush his heart, Annabeth!" Jacob said. "He killed my sister! You're mate!"
