Alyssa
I returned to the shared room with Vincent, sat on the bed, and started thinking about the magic I had cast. I felt the sensation all over my body from the spell. It was good to get a little breather from all the questions about me being the golden dragon and my bond with Vincent. Except for Jeffery, all the others seem nice. I put on my golden dress for the ball and soon heard a knock on the door. "Come in!" I said.
Izzy walked through the door, and I was at a loss for words. I was used to seeing Isabella in tight little outfits, but she was no less beautiful even though she showed less skin than usual. Her green floral dress flowed down her body and complimented her every curve.
"I take it you like my dress?" Izzy said. "You're staring, honey,"
"Sorry, it's amazing. I've never seen you in anything like this," I said. "Great, I feel underdressed."
"You are beautiful. I wanted to know if you wanted me to style your hair for you," Izzy said. "I want Vincent's mouth to drop when he sees you,"
"Sure, what's the harm in styling my hair. I do want to look my best for Vincent," I sat on the chair in front of the mirror, and Izzy got behind me. "Make it into a braid, I want to see how it looks,"
Izzy worked quickly with my request. She gently twisted and curled my hair together to make a single long braid that I could wear on my shoulder or my back. It was beautiful. "Thanks for the help, Izzy," I said.
"Anything for you babe," Izzy winked. "I'll be at the ball waiting for everyone else, I'll see you later,"
I checked myself in the mirror to see if I looked presentable to everyone. I looked good. There was no need to be nervous. "Wow!" I heard Vincent next to me.
"Vincent!" I turned to my left, and Vincent was in an all-black suit for the ball. Of course, he looked terrific. Vincent wore a black dress shirt that hugged his body neatly, allowing me to see the form of the chest beneath it. Over it was a tailored black jacket that perfected the look.
"And just like Izzy, you look like a god," I scoffed. "Goddess kill me now,"
"I've never seen such perfection. You're beautiful," Vincent kissed my cheek.
"I don't feel like it. This dress sucks," I threw my hands in the air, and Vincent eyed me. "Stop eyeing me like that, that's not making me feel better,"
Vincent then removed a white box from the closet and placed it on the bed. "Open it," Vincent said.
I picked up the white box and opened it. Inside were two beautiful dresses. I couldn't imagine what this had cost. "Try them on," Vincent smiled.
There was a golden and deep blue dress with soft white lace running down the side. The craftsmanship that went into these dresses is immaculate. I chose to wear the blue dress, and it fit me perfectly. "How did you know my size?" I asked.
"I asked the woman who helped you choose the traveling attire. You deserve the best and I intend to give you the best," Vincent kissed my hand.
I suddenly felt a chill throughout my body. It made my hair stand on edge, and I felt my heart race. I took a few deep breaths, and the feeling went away. I joined Vincent in the hallway and followed him to the ballroom.
"Something's wrong, Alyssa. I don't what it is, but somthing is not right," Dahlia shivered.
"We're safe here, Dahlia. Don't worry; let's spend some time with Vincent and Astarot.
Vincent and I made it to the ballroom, and the ball started with Gloria saying a few words and the music began. There was a buffet full of delicious food from the kingdoms. I tasted almost everything on the table, and then Vincent dragged me to the dance floor. We started slowly dancing to the music.
