Chapter 18 end

(Yep, this is the final chapter of survive. Dont worry, ill be making a sequel to it if yalls want. Anyway, ill talk to all of you guys later. Oh yea, i finally learned how to make stuff bold. PEACE!!!)

Austin's P.O.V
I was picking off infected that were sprinting from the tree line. I have enough ammo to take on the whole U.S army. "Wait, that gives me an idea. Crap, I cant do that." I continued to shoot them when I saw the brutes bash down the gate.

Adams P.O.V
"Damn, they've destroyed the gates! fall back!" I heard a soldier yell as his leg was bit by an infected. I bolted back to the weapons tent. I found a few explosives. I ran up to the the tower that Austin was defending. "Austin, i got some grenades and stuff to help!" I yelled. "Awesome! Toss em over!" He yelled back. I ran up to him and smacked him in the back of the head. "Yea sure, toss the grenades! How stupid can you get?!" He replied. "You'd be surprised, watch out." He pointed the rifle towards me. "What the hell are you?!-" i screamed as he blew the head off an infected behind me. "Oh, thanks." I said as I slid down the ladder. "Where are you going?" Austin yelled down to me. "Im setting up some mines, cover me!" I yelled back. I ran into the front of the base and set down some mines. I was swarmed by infected, they were just about to get me but they were gunned down by soldiers and Austin. I set up more mines and ran back to the ruined gate.

Kaleb's P.O.V
Ash had asked me to help her with the wounded, like always. "Why don't you make Austin do this stuff?" I asked as I handed Pvt. A suture. "Because Austin is a god damned psychopath and we need him to be fighting while we get these men well enough to help, plus he'd probably kill all of the patients." Ash said as she put a leg into a splint. "Yea, I guess. What else you need?" I asked. "Hand me that bottle of alcohol." She replied. "Your getting drunk at a time like this? People are dying out there to let us save these men and you want to drink?" I asked. "No you dumb ass, its for the patient." She said. "We're getting him drunk?" "Just give me the freaking alcohol!" She yelled and I gave her the bottle.

Connor's P.O.V
I was in some sort of lab being tested on by some pretty sketchy dudes in gas masks. I asked. "Whats going on?" One of the men replied. "We believe that we can reverse the flow of the infection and cure this." "Oh cool, but will i be okay after you do all of this reversing stuff?" I asked. "If we did the procedure here, you would most certainly die, thats why we need to get you to some lab where all of this started across the state, we need to anyway, I hear the gate broke a few minutes ago." He said. I stood up and yelled. "What?! My friends are out there! They could die, or worse, get infected!" The man sat me down. "They can handle it, theres some dude running around with only a high powered rifle, he's killing all of the infected in his way." I stood up again, grabbed a gun, and went for the exit. The man stopped me again. "Your the only hope for the Earth, we have to get you out of here now. You could doom the world and its people if you die out there." I responded. "They don't attack me, now I'm going to save my friends."

Izaiah's P.O.V
I was supplying everyone with weapons an ammo when Austin yelled out "Aye Connor, here to die with us?" "Shut up Austin." I yelled as I tossed Connor a clip. Austin was screaming a battle cry as he shot all of the infected around him. I ran over to help him. We were surrounded by a ton of infected. Austin and I stood back to back as we shot the infected in front of us. Austin yelled back to me. "Ya know, this is like the coolest thing I have ever done!" I yelled to him. "Tell stories later, lets finish this now!" Adam and some other men were on a mounted machine gun taking out the brutes. We had killed all of them, but there were still some lingering infected. The soldiers finished them off. Kaleb ran out of the tent with a gun in hand screaming when he noticed that all of them were dead. "Damn it!" He yelled. Adam got off of the gun and before he got to the stairs he collapsed.

Adam's P.O.V
All I could feel was pain. I didnt know what was wrong until I looked down. There was bites all in my legs and stomach, and maggots in all of them. "How did I not-?" Everyone ran to me. I stood up. Austin was pacing back and forth and was muttering. "This is my fault, I didn't shoot them fast enough."I looked at him and said. "Its not your fault Austin. I went out there. It was my decision." One of the scientists ran to Connor and said. "We need to go." Austin asked. "Go where?" The man replied. "To a lab across the state." Kaleb asked. "What about Adam?" I responded to Kaleb. "Just leave me a gun and a bullet. I'll be fine." Austin pulled a pistol from its holster and gave it to me. "We should get going." Said the man. "Alright, Im gonna stay here with Adam." Austin said. I replied. "Thanks." All of them had just gone and now its just Austin and I. "Hey look, Im sorry Adam." Austin said. I looked at him and replied. "Its okay, I can finally see my family again. You may want to look away." I waited for Austin to turn and I put the cold barrel to my chin, the I pulled the trigger.

Austin's P.O.V
I turned to grab my gun, but I couldn't stand to look at his lifeless body. I closed my eyes and grabbed the pistol. I ran to catch up to the group. When I finally did catch up to them, they all were shocked. They must have heard the gunshot. "Whats done is done, lets get to that lab." I said as I walked in front of everyone.

Ash's P.O.V
"How does he look so calm, so okay? He was just present to the suicide of a friend." I thought to myself. "We should find a car." Said the man. "Who the hell are you?" I asked frustratedly. "Oh, forgive me, my name is Dan, and my friend here is Felix, now that we are acquainted, shall we search for a vehicle?" He replied. "Yea sure." I said. Dan stood and thought for a minute and said. "I believe there is a garage near here, lets go get a few cars." We got to the garage and found some cars. "Lets get out of here." Austin said. We went on our way to the lab.

Devon's P.O.V
"Wow, Adam... Hey Austin, can I ask you something?" I asked. Austin looked at me and said. "Sure, what?" I asked. "Did he at least die somewhat happy?" Austin replied. "Yea, he was thinking of seeing his family again, why do you ask?" I said. "Just wondering." Austin leaned forward and started talking to Alex. "Hey, how much further?" Alex responded. "Ask felix." Felix said. "About an hour left."

Alex's P.O.V
We arrived at the lab and Austin started to search the rubble. "Hey, I found a sealed hatch in the ground." Yelled Austin. He opened it up and jumped in. About 5 minutes later he came sprinting up the stairs covered in blood. "We cant go down there now! Theres infected all over! I found a camera next to a torn apart corpse, it has some videos on it." Austin said as he handed the camera to Dan. Dan looked at it and said. "Maybe it has clues to how this happened or how to cure it, but there sure is enough supplies to figure it out if theres nothing in the camera, felix, can you set up the beacon? Felix was pushing buttons on a small device and he set it down on a rock. "They should be here in a few hours." Felix said. Dan turned on the camera and started the first video.

I KNOW YALLS ARENT TOO! but dont worry, ill put double the effort into survive 2.0 (message me what you want the sequel to be named and the one i like most will be the one, or ill have like a vote.) anyway, sorry for the terrible ending.
