I woke up to gun shots. I know I told Robert not to hunt with the gun, that he needs to trap until we get more ammo, plus Kyle, Jill, and Thomas need their sleep. Sharleen, Robert's wife, came into my tent and told me " we're planning on hitting that pharmacy in about a hour, wanna come." I said "sure but what about the kids?". "Sam can watch them." I never trusted Sam, he's reckless, in this world, being reckless gets you killed. I guess thats are only option, I'll go get Robert. As I walked to where Robert was, i heard more shots and knew it was infected. When i got there, Robert was defending a deer he shot from two infected, I killed one with a kick to the knee and a couple hacks to the head and Robert beat the other with a crowbar. We dragged the deer back, gutted and cleaned it, then threw the remains far out in the woods, put the meat and guts in a garbage bag and hung it from a tree. The three kids were up when we got back. I told them that we were leaving for a while and that sam would watch them then we left. Its amazing that even after four months, theres still canned goods and medicine in the stores. In a store we got two cans of beans, one can of peaches, some seeds fore carrots and flowers. We also found a gun store and got a crossbow, compound bow, two shotguns, a machete, six knives, seventy shotgun shells, three bolts, seven arrows, and twenty one .44 magnum cartridges. We went back to camp and then checked the traps. I found a squirrel and two rabbits, Robert found half of a rabbit, it was probably eaten by a fox or infected. We got back to camp and found Sam face first on the ground and the kids were gone.
