I was screaming for them, hoping that they were okay and then I heard Sam say "why are you yelling." I ran up to her, picked her up and slammed her into a tree screaming"where are they!" Then I heard the crying. We all rushed to the yelling and found Thomas holding his knee crying and Jill and Kyle yelling for help. I ran up and asked what happened and they said Sam and them were playing hide and seek and tom fell and hit is knee on a rock. I noticed a rustle in the woods and turned to see an infected jump on sam and snap at her. Just as its teeth touched her neck, I shot it with the crossbow we had found. After checking for bites, we found nothing and heard more rustling so we bolted back to camp, gathered all our stuff except the tents because there was no time. Instead, we lit the tents on fire in an attempt to distract them, but it wasn't very affective because they found our scent and ignored the flames. Once we were out of the woods we went back to the music store Sam worked in before all of this to set up camp. In all of the rush, we lost all of our weapons except for, one shotgun, my crossbow, half of the ammo, and a hatchet. We lost all of our food so we need to find more Sam said. The kids were crying, so we had to try and calm them down. Just as they calmed down, something started to beat down the door so we had to get out of their fast, so we gathered EVERYTHING this time and ran to the streets. After about three minutes of running, we lost them but not for long, we needed a car. Luckily we found a mini van and went to go start it but it wouldn't start and I noticed that there was a hole in the gas tank and there was fresh gas all around. We all heard running from behind us and Sam said "Adam, do you got a match?" I gave her one and she told us to run as she slipped a cd into the player and turned up the volume all the way. We said no but she said we shouldn't die because the kids need to live. So we left and as Sam waited for the infected to get closer, she lit the match and threw it as they swarmed her. We had only gotten about a block away so the explosion was loud and we know Sam gave her life to save us and we went off to find another car.
