It might be easy for any coach in the world to find a talented basketball player. However, it was harder for them to find a woman basketball player who was as talented as men in general. Luckily today, Mike and the other coaches of Bangkok University Basketball Team had successfully found it.
Mike walked to Sam, who was picking up the balls on the field and put it back to the box where other balls were placed. "No worries, Sam. Our juniors will pick them up for you" Mike said. He then frowned minutes later when he found out that Sam did not listen to what he ordered and kept on picking up the ball.
"Sam-"
"I made the mess, so I should be the one who cleared the mess," Sam said. "Just let me finish this first, after that, I will do what you asked me to" Sam said, running to the other side of the court, picking up the balls again.
Seeing Sam walk away from him, Song walked closer. "Coach, what happened?" Song asked him, confused.
Mike shook his head, "Our new team member is going to be quite hard to handle, Song" Mike sighed, "I forbid her to pick the balls, but she insists," Mike said.
Song smiled, "Is not it a good sign that she is a responsible person?" Song asked Mike.
Mike sighed again, combing his hair. "She might be very hard to deal with since she is really stubborn," Mike explained, looking at Sam who recently finished picking up the balls and were running to their direction, "Let's talk about it later, she's coming" Mike said.
Upon hearing her coach told her that Sam was running in their direction, Song hurriedly turned her head to Sam. "Sam, thank you for picking up the balls for us." Mike said. "Now, please take a seat there. We are about to announce the result of today's test" Mike ordered. Sam then followed Mike's order by walking directly to where he told her to. She took a seat next to Tee.
"Good performance, Sam," Tee said, trying to open the conversation with Sam who was just sitting beside her. "I am Tee, by the way. Nice to meet you" Tee said, and offered Sam her hand.
"..." Sam looked at Tee then down to her hand, did not move nor say anything.
Oh, so you're playing deaf, huh? Tee scoffed, her irritated sigh could be heard by Sam. Again, she did not care. Instead of answering, Sam wore her hoodie over her head and drank her water.
"I see.." Tee pulled her hand back, put it on her knees. The smiles on her face were gone instantly. Didn't know that Thailand is this cold, Tee shook her head.
Minutes later, Mike came back to the court, holding papers. "So, thank you to everyone who has come and shown what you got to us. Now, without any further ado, I will announce two names, two female and two male that are accepted in Bangkok University by Basketball special test" Mike said.
"Congratulation to:
1. Siraphop Manithikhun
2. Jirayuth Tangsrisuk
3. Natnicha Vorrakittikun, and
4. Samanun Anuntrakul"See? Tee smirked, she then looked at her side to see Sam. Sam, on the other hand, just sat there expressionless.
"To the people I have mentioned earlier, you guys do not have to do the writing test again tomorrow. You could directly jump to the next step, which is the registration and payment process. So, please pass these letters to your parents and give back to us if you guys have earned your parents' signature" Mike explained.
What? Sam frowned, shocked by the announcement. Shit.
Sam raised her hand, stood up from her seat. "Should we really ask for their signature?" Sam asked, her voice caught everyone's attention.
