The time was up for the test. Now, they have to collect their worksheets to the examiner. Becca had finally done her own minutes ago, but then she stayed there for another minute to recheck whether all the questions were filled out or not.
"Time is up, everyone! Please collect your sheets here. Also, don't forget to input your full name and your Test ID Numbers in the provided column" the examiner said.
Upon hearing the announcement from the examiner, people one by one collected their sheets to the examiner, including Becca. When she walked back to her seat to take her belongings and leave the room, someone's voice stopped her.
"Farang," Sam whispered. "What's the answer to number 13?" She asked with her soft voice.
Becca, who actually heard Sam, did not bother to answer. Instead, she collected her belongings and put it inside her bag, ignoring Sam with all of her might.
"Far- Okay, Fine. What's your name again?" Sam looked at Becca's table, but Becca had taken the sticky paper that had her name in it first before Sam could see it.
"..." Becca acted as if she did not hear Sam again. She stood up from her seat and was about to leave the room.
Shit! "Hey, Pretty! Could you please help me? The number 13, please!" Sam whispered, this time a little bit louder until the examiner caught her act.
Pretty? Becca on the other side turned her head onto Sam, while mouthing "What did you call me earlier?". Unfortunately, before Becca could get the answer, the examiner called her out.
"Are you Ms. Rebecca?" She asked Becca, "If you have done your test, you may leave this room" she said.
Becca nodded, "Alright, Ma'am. Will do" she said, while walking out the room. The examiner then turned her eyes to Sam.
"Samanun, please collect your sheet" the examiner ordered.
Sam was still writing her answers, and did not want to follow the examiner's order.
The examiner stood up, "Samanun Anuntrakul, please collect your sheet now!" she raised her voice.
Sam stopped writing, "Geez, your patient level is as thin as a layer of tissue," Sam rolled her eyes. She finally stood up from her seat and walked to collect her sheet. She put it on the table, turned around to walk to the door.
"Samanun," the examiner stopped Sam from going out of the class, "What you did this morning is really irresponsible. Please mind your behavior if you get the chance to be accepted here," she said sternly.
Sam, who heard the examiner's warning, just waved her hand backward while walking. I don't care, I'll do what I want, She said inside her head. As she turned her body to the left after she arrived at the door, she met Becca there, looking like she had been waiting for her.
"Give me my pen back," she said and gave her opened palm to Sam. Sam, who heard that, began to check all of her pockets in her clothes but could not find the pen.
"I think it fell somewhere when I was collecting my sheet" Sam calmly said. Her answer had turned Becca's flat expression into annoyed expression. "Hey, it's only a pen! You act just like you had lost a car" Sam nudged Becca's shoulder. "Calm down, Farang" she smiled.
"Stop calling me with that word!" Becca widened her eyes. "First of all, my name is Rebecca, not Farang. Secondly, you borrowed it from me earlier so by any means, you should give it back to me" Becca said, while crossing her hands on her chest, sulking.
