"Light is Kira, and I can prove it," says L in a soft tone.

"What?" Matsuda stands up from his chair rather quickly. He blushes at the the amount of noise he made in the act, reminding L faintly of a lost puppy. As much as L hates to admit it, he sees Matsuda having potential to go far in the future, after gaining more experience.

"I said, 'Light is Kira, and I can prove it'. I can prove that-"

"L, we heard you the first time," mutters Aiwaza. "I think Matsuda is in shock."

"Oh, I hate when this happens. I think L has a vendetta against Light." Matsuda fans himself, causing L to roll his eyes. "Perhaps the Alpha feels threatened by an equally competent Beta?"

"Actually, that's the first thing we should discuss." L looks at Light, whose jaw is clenched. "Well, second thing. I think that I should offer Light a chance to speak first. Should he refuse, I will tell instead."

Light glares at him, his eyes appearing red for a quick second before returning to a reddish brown color. He clenches his first together, as if trying to calm himself down. "You're a bastard, Ryuzaki! You know I'm not Kira! I willing detained myself and let you observe my every moment. I let myself be chained to you. And yet, despite all of my privacy being invaded multiple times, you still continue to blame me! It's as if you're failing this case. You have no clue who Kira really is, so you blame me. You're nothing more than a lying bastard."

"Light," snaps Soichiro, rubbing his temple. "Don't speak to L like that. L, please stop blaming my son for being Kira without evidence. You cannot do-"

"I have evidence," says L. "Take a seat. I'll lay out all the pictures and connect all the evidence. I promise."

"Oh dear," murmurs Matsuda, clearly fascinated with the case now.

"Can... can someone make Light stop baring his teeth at me and growling? I don't appreciate it," commands L in a snappy tone.

"Apologies, Ryuzaki. I have no idea why Light is behaving so... childishly," comments the elder Yagami, giving Light a harsh look.

"He knows what I'm going to say," replies L in a neutral tone. "Light is afraid."

Light says nothing, choosing instead to glare at Ryuzaki. He can't attack L with this many other people present. Attacking L would only prove L's point right. Light lets out a huff, wondering how much longer he has until he's forced on his knees. Will the Task Force demand he submit before them, or will they be satisfied with arresting him and throwing him into a dark cell?

L takes a seat in a soft leather chair, giving the group a faint smile. "Firstly, I asked for a meeting in this room because this is a new room. There are no preexisting smells in this room, and no one is completely familiar with the layout. Well, except for me. Secondly, Mister Yagami, switch seats with Mogi. I want Mogi and Aizawa near Light."

Light gives L a terrified look. L takes it as a good sign. L notices that Light seems to shrink into himself, as if resigning himself to his fate. L knows that Light will put up a fight— both verbal and physical. Removing the elder Yagami ensures both Light's safety and Soichiro's safety: Light can't manipulate his father into helping him, and Yagami won't be able to kill his son. L figures Light will put up a fairly weak fight, though he picked Mogi and Aizawa incase Light puts up a strong fight.

"Fantastic. Now, let us begin. We'll start with the failed fifty-day observation of Light, which was a complete waste of time." L pulls out a photo of a bottle of pills and a notebook. "Two reasons the observation failed: Light was on an incredibly high dosage of suppressants, and the notebook's thirteen day rule is fake. I got the Shinigami— her name is Rem, for anyone wondering— to tell me. I made her a deal that I wouldn't charge Misa in return for her help."
