"Wa-what?" I ask with a nervous giggle, thats such a strange question and as much as I want to say no, something in me freezes.

"I gotta go," I give her an awkward smile and run inside. Why did she ask me such a question? Do I look... abused?

I do chores to clear my head, dishes, restock fridges, and laundry. These people drink water like they're tanks. I head to the entertainment room to get Aleyna for bed and say bye in case I don't come back.

"JJ?" Ena calls out for me as I get to the door.

"Yes?"

"Can we eat the dessert?" I completely forgot about those.

"Yes, I forgot about them, sorry." They thank me and run down for it, I tuck Aleyna in after closing her curtains and checking under their bed for monsters. She once called me in the middle of the night cause the 'monsters' were touching his leg, it was her mum pulling down her duvet to cover her leg. I was having such a good dream that night.

"Good night, JJ," she whispers.

"Night, baby."

I head downstairs and walk around, trying to find something to do while waiting for my shift to end.

Its ended

"Emine?" she looks up and smiles. I don't know why I'm nervous, but I am, and it's troubling. Bet that's what her son says when he's doing something important, which is rare.

"I'm leaving."

"Okay, sweetie, thank you for looking after the kids and Lev."

"All good. Good night, everyone," I bid them goodbye with a wave. I head to the guards to say bye and frown. Who are they? I have never seen them before, and I've met all the guards. I smile at them and move closer.

"Hi, I'm JJ. Are you guys new?" They ignore me and continue to look ahead. This is literally like the first day I started working here all over again. I shrug and shoot a tiny smile at this one guy at the end, who shows a very tiny smile at me.

Their aura is weird, fishy, mad fishy. I look at them one last time and rush out. Because of them, I might miss the bus. I bend to catch my breath as I get to the bus stop and exhale in relief, seeing the bus. At least I made it.

I'm finally home and I'm wrecked. I feel filthy and the bus ride was a nightmare. Some drunk man was just stumbling and yelling in the aisle, which had me on high alert the entire time.

Then, this baby wouldn't stop crying, and her mum was yelling at her to shut up. I tried telling her she was crying because her arm was twisted, but she got mad that I was teaching her how to parent.
