Oli didn't immediately open his eyes the moment he regained consciousness.

He waited for a moment, running his hand lightly over the ground and coming to the very confusing conclusion that he was lying on grass before opening his eyes.

When Oli did open his eyes, he came to the startling realisation that someone was leaning over him- it was a (very attractive) man- maybe three years older than him?- with brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing cracked, copper-rimmed glasses and an odd cream blouse with puffy sleeves.

The man practically jumped out of his skin as Oli sat up, backing away warily. "Um- if you don't mind me asking, what on Earth are you doing in the woods a couple of minutes away from my house, because I'm sure I would have noticed someone as brightly clothed as you going towards my house and-" The stranger's gaze flicked to where Oli had been lying down as the blonde stood up. "-passing out?"

"Uh- well- you see- my friend did a..." Oli paused in the middle of his hasty response, trying to catch his breath. "A magic thing, and I tried to stop him from doing the magic thing, and I am... I'm here. So." The Enderian hybrid shrugged.

The brunette raised both eyebrows. "I see. Does this friend of yours practice witchcraft, perhaps?" He asked curiously.

Oli let out a snort of laughter. "'Witchcraft'?" He echoed. "Nobody calls it that, dude." The Enderian hybrid added, laughing again.

"Well, my sister is a witch, and she refers to it as witchcraft. So does my other friend, although he isn't exactly a witch, he just... casts plant spells sometimes." The stranger said thoughtfully.

Oli shrugged. "Agree to disagree. Anyways- where-" He paused as he remembered that Jimmy was practicing time travel magic. "When... am... I?" The blonde corrected himself slowly, earning himself an odd look from the taller man, who began counting something under his breath.

After a few more moments of counting, the brunette shrugged and said, "Around... 200 years after the fall of Exor's champion. Supposedly." He added with a roll of his eyes.

Oli frowned. "You don't- use A.R and B.R?" He asked, very confused. That was the time frame (or whatever it was called that) that most people used- Before Rapture and After Rapture (the Rapture being a world-shaking event that happened about a thousand years ago).

"What's an- A.R and B.R?" His companion echoed, looking more than a little confused. When Oli shrugged helplessly, he added, "Most people just tell time based on how long it's been since an important event." That sounds unreliable and confusing as hell.

Oli shrugged, pausing thoughtfully and attempting to think back to his highschool History class (he had, admittedly, payed barely any attention to it, so this was certainly a difficult task).

He was pretty sure that the fall of Cohnal (Exor's very corrupted champion) was roughly 1800 years ago (800B.R), give or take- it was in mythology, at least.

And if his crappy maths skills were correct (which was highly unlikely), 1800 take away 200 was 1600, which meant that it was 600B.R, and if present day was 1000A.R, that meant that Oli was...

1600 years in the past.

1600.

How- how on earth did Jimmy and Joel mess up the spell that badly?! He wondered, groaning internally. Just my luck that I got there in time to try and stop them and got- zapped over a thousand years into the past. I'm gonna kill one of them when I get home.

"Uh- hello? Random guy I found outside of my house?" Oli was dragged out of this train of thought by the man in front of him waving a hand in front of his face. "Are you okay? You appear to be- shocked is putting it lightly." He said with a laugh, moving his hand away as Oli muttered something.

"Uh- yeah. Just. Thinking about, uh- stuff! Yes. Stuff. Mhm. What even is your name, mystery forest man?" The blonde asked curiously, trying to distract himself from what had just happened and attempting to view this like he had just ran into some person in present day rather than over a millennium in the past.

"If anything, I should be the one calling you mystery forest man, you're the one that wound up passed out in the forest by my house because of your friend's teleportation spell gone wrong. At least, I'm assuming it was teleportation." The brunette added after some thought. "And my name is Pix. It's, uh..." Pix looked Oli up and down with a confused expression. "Nice to meet you? I think?"

"Jeez, thanks." Oli muttered, raising his voice before Pix could ask what he had said. "My name is Oli!" He declared brightly, grinning.

"Huh. Odd name." The Enderian hybrid glared fiercely at him.

"Your name is Pix. I don't think you can say anything." Oli snapped, scowling at the man in front of him.

"I don't consider Pix to be an odd name in the slightest." Pix said with a shrug before pausing again (he seemed to do this a lot). "Well, I... can't exactly leave you here in the forest, so, as much as I'm sure my sister my sister will object, would you maybe like to stay with me? I guess? At least, until you can return home." The brunette then smiled. "My sister is a witch, so I'm sure she can help you with the spell mix up."

"Uh..." On one hand, Oli wasn't exactly fond of the idea of taking shelter in the house of a man who had immediately insulted his name and basically called him a weirdo upon meeting him. On the other hand, he didn't exactly like the idea of waiting in the woods till Jimmy found him- can you imagine how many bugs there would be? No thank you, absolutely not, bugs were awful. "Sure, I'll... stay with you and your sister. In a creepy forest cabin."

He wasn't exactly sure what else he could do.

"It's not creepy!"

"Is too."

"You haven't even seen it yet!"

"Still creepyyyy."
