Kenji stared at the book laid out in front of him, the silence of the class in the morning was peaceful and perfect for reading. His hearing grew increasingly muffled to the little chit-chats of the other students walking by the class until something hit him on the back of his head.
"Ow." He let out a quiet yelp and held the spot where the small pebble had hit him. He turned around to face the guy who threw it.
Caleb stared back at Kenji, his hazel eyes never leaving nor even blinking at the black haired boy who just turned around. Caleb's gaze was fierce and full of repulse.
"It's still early, does he not have friends to hang out with??" Kenji thought, furrowing his eyebrows in annoyance before turning back around to his novel.
"Its been like this for a whole month now." He thought, "When will this guy just quit it?" His head was filled with genuine questions about why the blonde boy sitting behind him kept picking on him even though he gets almost nothing out of it.
Caleb eyed the back of Kenji's head silently, before laying his chin snugly into his crossed arms on his desk, still, silently staring.

Kenji was collecting his books after the bell had rung. Most of the students had already left in a hurry within their own, small groups.
The noise slowly drowned out. Kenji was listening to music in his headphones when suddenly a hand came in and yanked them off.
He spun around in surprise, and met a pair of familiar hazel eyes. Kenji barely had any time to gasp before Caleb smacked a few worksheets onto Kenji's desk.
"Do these for me and I want it back by tomorrow." Caleb demanded.
Kenji struggled for a moment to stand back on his two feet. He tried desperately to lift his body up with his arms that were still planted to the desk behind him but it was made just a little harder with Caleb towering over him, his eyes almost glowed red while Kenji's were wide with fear.
"Got it!?" Caleb yelled, his voice was fierce and scary.
Kenji nodded his head repeatedly in response.
"Good." Caleb said as he backed off, giving Kenji more space to finally stand up again.
After the tall, blonde boy left the class, Kenji put a hand to his chest, his heartbeat was fast and hasn't calmed down yet. He looked down at the worksheets Caleb had smashed onto his desk.
"Great, more homework." Kenji muttered in frustration, his eyes still wincing from the scare earlier as he tried catching his breath.

"Why does it have to be me?" Kenji thought as he kicked a stone on the sidewalk, his head filled with frustration and angry questions while faraway sounds of children playing in the playground echoes just a few feet away.
A car suddenly zoomed by, kicking air into his face and making Kenji jump. He opened his eyes but then police cars flew by as well, causing even more wind to blast into his face.
Finally, Kenji cracked his eyes open and from a distance he saw a familiar dark grey backpack.
