"Right, you know what you have to do?" I asked Cora, who was sitting on my shoulders as Joey and the guys accompanied us to the seats Selena had gotten us. She had offered us front row, but there was no way I was taking Cora into a mosh pit, regardless of if we were separated into a VIP section or not. There are way too many people around us that could either spot Cora or crush her, and that is not a risk any of us were willing to take. Plus, she is so tiny she would have had to spend the whole show on someone's shoulders, and while she loves being carried, she can be pretty independent at times, so she wouldn't have liked depending on us to see.
Selena didn't seem to mind when I declined the tickets. Instead, she insisted we come and have seats rather, which I accepted gratefully. Baring in mind how last minute this all was, I have to say these seats are fantastic. We have a great view, but we also have a bit of space around us so that no one bothers us while we are watching, which means no one should be focused on Cora.
When Taylor found out this information at dinner last night, which is when we told Cora about the concert gaining yet another fantastic reaction video out of her, she called Selena and got a seat with us. Saying there was no way she was going to miss out on hanging out with Cora for even a second.
It's weird. We have only really known each for just other for a month, yet we have gotten so close so quickly. Like honestly, I can't tell if it's been twenty seconds or twenty years. Either way Taylor is becoming one of my favourite people.
Still, I am defiantly not complaining, especially after how much fun the pair of us had last night. It's nice to have a friend, like an actual friend, because, let's face it, it's hard to do that in this industry. And, well, I wasn't exactly popular in school, so this whole friend thing is new to me.
"Yes, you have told me a billion times. I have this, Andy. It really isn't that hard; even Teddy could manage to do it," Cora declared, making me laugh and nod as we found our seats, the boys sitting on theirs as Cora stood on hers, clearly looking for Taylor in the sea of people who were just starting to arrive.
"There she is," I mumble, pointing to the blonde as she comes towards us, Greg not far behind. I watch in amusement as she gets close to us, smiling as she waves excitedly at us before squealing, ducking just in time as the cowboy hat hits Greg square in the chest, making me laugh harder as I turn to see a guilty-looking Cora pointing at me as she mouths 'she did it' which just has me laughing more.
That little snake.
"I thought we were even," Taylor laughed, grabbing the hat off Greg as she slipped it on, making Cora laugh as she climbed onto my lap so she was next to Taylor, who slid into the seat beside me. "Nah, as I said, Mick threw it the first time, and it was firefly who threw it this time. I have always been and shall remain innocent in all this," I defend, laughing as she rolls her eyes, promising to get me back for this later.
"Plus, the hat looks better on you anyway; it reminds me of that accent of yours that magically went away," I tease, earning an eye roll as she adjusts the brim of the hat.
"Yeah, yeah. You know, normally, people greet friends by saying hi, right?" She quips back, making me tilt my head in mock confusion. "They do? Why did no one else teach me this? How has no one ever told me that?" I ask, trying to be serious, although ultimately failing as we both burst into laughter.
The show was fantastic, although I am so glad I brought along Cora's ear defenders because no matter how often she bitches about not needing them, I know the audience was loud enough to do some real damage. I don't even know why she fights about putting them on; she has been wearing them since she was one, and started to come to our concerts. Plus, they look fantastic with little animated superheroes all over them. Heck, if they were my size, I'd rock them all the time.
