All events take place after Sonic Frontiers.

So, this was it. The moment Tails has been waiting for since after her little adventure on the Starfall Islands. Well, it was more of Sonic's adventure, but she was able to discover a lot about herself in the process. Her inconsistencies, her timid nature, despite being the smartest fox on the block. That she needs to be her own person...

That one hit the hardest out of all of them. She remembered asking Sonic if she was a burden to him in any way, but he ultimately waved it off and reassured her that she wasn't. Though she couldn't shake the feeling that she was. She had gone through and followed Sonic since she had first met him; helping out as much as she could, sure, but she did wonder if she could ever live up to the title of hero. Sonic was so fast and cool! He went into fights without a second thought! She panicked and gave into fear the moment she thought Sonic was dead.

The thought of having to be the hero, without the reassurance of Sonic coming in to save the world in case she slipped up, terrified her. She was no hero. At least, not yet. That's what today is coming to. Her finally setting out on her own adventure, rather than following the blue blur around, hoping nothing happens that causes them both to get seriously injured, or worse. This time, however, she was going to do things on her own and not rely on her big brother.

She made her way outside to her plane, having everything she needed already packed away. Not that she needed much though, it was only going to be a week long trip at most.

"You got everything right?? Nothing being left behind? Oh and you know you can call me in case of emergencies, right Tails?? Like if Egghead shows up and-" Tails chuckles at her worried brother, never really seeing him as one to be THIS worried.

"Sonic, I'll be fine, I promise. I already triple checked everything I packed. This is supposed to be my first solo adventure, and I REALLY doubt Robotnik is going to show up on Little Planet. You know how he is with repeat plans."

Sonic sighed. Ever since Tails brought up wanting to go to Little Planet to try and study the Time Stones more, Sonic has been worried about her getting hurt by one of Robotnik's goons. But no one ever really visits Little Planet these days, unless they wish to do some out of the way sightseeing. Tails was determined to see this through, however. Especially since all she was doing was studying by herself. So it shouldn't really be that big of a deal, right?

"Alright alright. I just...guess I didn't expect you to actually take off so soon. I've been taking care of ya ever since you were a kid. Time really flies huh?" Tails nods in agreement. It has been quite a long time since Tails has been on her own. So to do this all of a sudden was a big step for both her and Sonic.

"Like I said, I'll be fine! I'm just going to go there, study the Time Stones and be right back! It'll be like if I got caught up in one of my projects here at the lab! Just a bit further than that. So it'll be like I never left!" Sonic chuckles at her slight joke. It was true that Tails would often lose track of time and spend days, if not weeks in her lab, building, studying, you name it.

"Okay. Well, you better get going then, before I change my mind!" Tails smiles before giving him a tight hug.

"I'll be back before you know it." Was the last thing she said to him before hopping into her plane and starting it up.

With one final wave goodbye, she starts moving to the runway, and eventually taking off. People within the nearby town also began waving her off, since today was a moment Sonic hyped up for a bit, despite his worries. Guess he thought she could use the little boost of confidence, or something like that. WIth a good feeling and a dream to become her own hero, it was time to finally go to Little Planet.

To be honest, she was quite lucky Little Planet came out this time of year. Usually, Little Planet stays sort of hidden and away from being explored until one month in the year. When that one month arrives it shows up above Never Lake, able to be explored by anyone. Then, as soon as that month is over, it goes into hiding once again. It was a shame, because it was quite a beautiful place. Tails might've even considered living there if it weren't for its strange nature.

What Little Planet was most known for, as mentioned prior, were the Time Stones. They were these pretty gems, and just like the Chaos Emeralds, they didn't just get their name randomly. With all seven of the Time Stones together, it is said that you can go back in time, or even into the future! With that much power, it's no wonder Robotnik wanted to use them all those years ago. Robotnik DID eventually come back to Little Planet, but strangely enough it was just to retrieve Metal Sonic. He did always have a knack for never doing the same plan twice, which made Robotnik a very unpredictable foe.

However, that doesn't matter now. All that matters is what's in front of her. A giant planet, seven gems begging to be found and studied, and a familiar desire to go on an adventure. As Tails landed her plane on the planet, she could feel herself getting nervous. What if she messes up and gets lost? What if she takes so long to study the gemstones that she accidentally stays long enough for Little Planet to go into hiding and she gets lost too? What if...no. No! She shakes her head. None of that will happen. She needs to remain focused.

Landing her plane onto the planet, she promptly hops out of it and checks her watch. She goes and sets an alarm for a few days from now. There, now she won't lose track of time at least. She double checks to make sure she has everything she needs. Yup. All there. She takes a deep breath and sets up a device, checking her tablet to make sure it's working. There. The location is set, so now she can find her way back. What has her so worried? She's got this. Surely, nothing bad will happen in such a remote location. With that being said, she finally sets out on her adventure.
