After that embarrassing trip, Tails decides she wants to end on a much higher note, which gives her all the more reason to go out and find another Time Stone. Surely this next one would be easier to find. Leaving Collision Chaos, she begins to finish her new calibrations to her device to help her find the next one.

Once it's set up, it begins searching the area for any signs of another Time Stone. While she waits for it to do its job, she looks around. It looks like she's in a sort of entrance to an underwater temple. She doesn't remember Sonic mentioning this one, though that could be just because he hates water. Though it looks like this is where her new search is going to begin, since her device begins beeping.

She doesn't inherently dislike water, she's able to swim after all, but she isn't looking forward to getting her clothes wet. If she knew she was going to be swimming this much she would've brought a bathing suit or something of the sort. She sighs, knowing she'll need to grit her teeth and bare it for now before entering into the temple.

To say the temple was strange to her would be under selling it a bit. Already, the entrance looked like it was inviting you into the water, rather than the temple. Looking around further, she notices that the way the temple was built, while not entirely flooded, looks like it was designed to be occasionally flooded to traverse to new areas. She tries to avoid these as much as possible, however, since she had flight.

However, her hope to find the Time Stone without entering the water came to a close as she looked around, not finding anything, radar included. It did, however, beep louder the closer she came to the water. So, against her technical will, she dives in, swimming closer to the bottom. Luckily, her device is waterproof and has a screen, since it's kind of hard to hear if she's closer if she can barely hear the beeps.

So she keeps swimming. The place was relatively big after all, and required her to explore every nook and cranny in the temple. It especially annoyed her since there were plenty of times where she had to get out of the water to continue traversal. Who made this and why do they suck at architecture?

So much of it doesn't make sense to her. There was a bunch of water higher up where she was that made the place seem flooded. Then a bit ahead there was a waterfall-like area where the water was a really long drop down below instead of being level with the area she was in. However, most of all, this place was a LOT bigger than she expected. There were like, a million areas to explore here!

Luckily for her, she has her Time Stone Detector. She shakes out her fur to focus on where she needs to go. Unluckily, she realizes that the device is pointing her towards the bottom of the temple where the water is. She groans audibly, glad there isn't much going on here to get in her way further than it currently is.

Jumping downwards, she begins swimming through to the bottom of the temple, looking around and at the device for any hint on where the Time Stone could be. After swimming around for what seemed like hours, she finally spots the Time Stone floating in the water. It seems to be getting pushed away by the current!

She has to be quick, which isn't easy in the water, but she has to grab the emerald. Swimming faster, she tries to catch up with it, also using the current to speed up. Her plan works as she then begins to zoom fast through the water. However, she also seems to be losing a bit of control, since she couldn't catch up now and was just matching its speed.

It became harder to swim, and she was running out of breath. She needed to catch up and get out of the water faster. Regaining a little control, she begins paddling towards the gem, attempting to catch up. Inch by inch she gets a little closer. It seems like it's just within reach...! Then, finally, she catches it! Now that she finally has the Time Stone, she's ready to try and swim out to the surface.

However, she didn't seem to account for the current, as it only got more powerful. As quickly as she could, she puts the device and Time Stone in her satchel, holding tightly onto the strap of it as the current sweeps her away. She closes her eyes and holds her breath as long as she can. She was so close to losing her breath and inhaling the water. She needed a way out. But then... she felt warmth.

She keeps her eyes shut, as she doesn't want to open them with the way she was moving in the water, but she feels a warmth around her. She can't quite place what it could've been, since she was focusing so hard on her breath. Then, as quick as the warmth was there, it vanished, replaced with the feeling of the sun beaming down on her.

She opens her eyes, taking a deep breath. Oh, the sweet air. Looking around, she was back on the surface. How did she get here? Maybe the current was flowing to shoot her out of the temple somewhere? Then what was that warmth? She couldn't say at all, and there wasn't anything around to make her feel that warmth. Yet here she was, wondering what it could've been,

She sighs. It's whatever. She's alive and okay and, once again, soaked.

"If I need to go into the water one more time, I think I'll just study what I have. Goodness, this is ridiculous." She gets up, using her tails to dry herself enough to begin flying and begins heading back to her tent. It was still only the afternoon, but she was tired from hunting down the two Time Stones she had found. She was ready to go relax for the day.

And what a day it was so far. The bright side being that she found two more Time Stones, and that was good enough for her. Three out of seven in only two days! If she could keep up this pace, she'd be all studied out by the time she went home! Nah, that's ridiculous. She could never not study things. She loves this stuff. But for now, it was time to go home and rest.

Until tomorrow.
