When I woke up this morning I felt well rested for the first time in months. It felt like everything was so much easier and not as straining as before.

I looked around me and I could see my whole family ready for the day.

My father was learning how to ride a skimwing with the clan leader, Tonowari. Me and my siblings are having swimming lessons and learning how to breathe with Tsireya, Aonung and Roxto. Whatever that means.

I'm looking forward to seeing Aonung again, for some reason I feel calmer when he's around, that much that like I said I managed to get a good night of sleep.

When we arrived the trio elegantly jumped in the reef with such elegance, whereas us Sully kids just bombed in creating a lot of disruption for the wildlife. Something we would definitely have to master.

As we swam through the reef I could see an overwhelming amount of coral 🪸 and bioluminescent sea creatures that looked so awesome.

As we was swimming me and my siblings were trying to keep up, especially me and Lo'ak because we both wanted so desperately to exceed our fathers expectation

As we was swimming me and my siblings were trying to keep up, especially me and Lo'ak because we both wanted so desperately to exceed our fathers expectation.

After a couple of minutes we had to go back up for air whereas the trio just carried on swimming as it needing to breathe wasn't a problem for them. They looked up to us as if to say "what is wrong" and "come on" whereas Aonung was like this but when his eyes settled on me he looked more concerned.

We went back under and tried to keep up with them but I went back up with Tuk for air and soon after Neteyam and Lo'ak did the same, soon followed by the trio who looked more concerned.

"What is wrong?" Tsireya asked concerned.

"Slow down. Your too fast" Tuk complained/whined. Can't blame her though she is only 8 years old.

"Just breathe" she said as if you could breathe under the water.

"How" I asked. I mean seriously it's not like we can breath underwater.

"We don't understand this finger talk guys. We don't know what you are saying" Neteyam was next to complain. If he was struggling that means it must be hard. Because you know he's the golden child.

"I will teach you" Maybe Tsireya is the golden child for their family. It seems like it.

Ooh or maybe she likes one of them. Oh my god that would be so cute. It's about time one of them got a girlfriend. I need someone to embarrass them to.

We all swam back to the sure and Aonung stayed back with me and made sure I was alright.

One we reached the shore he spoke "you okay" he looked really worried as if they knew that was gonna be a lot for us in one day.

"I'm okay. I actually slept really well last night I don't know whether it's the calming sound of the sea or what it is but it was nice" I ranted again. It's just so easy to talk to him.

"That's good. I'm sorry training was hard today but we needed to see your swimming skills to see what we needed to work on" he apologised sincerely, which was a huge relief because I was beginning to believe I was arranged to a self-centred, arrogant, cocky ***hole. (P.S. I know you know what word I would love to have called him).

"It's alright, I understand that you need to know our strengths and weaknesses to teach us properly. Thank you for trying to be patient with us" I forgave him. I don't know why because he was quite rude to my siblings.

I guess Eywa was willing us to be together. From my Tsahik training, I know that when an arrangement is made it is because Eywa has sent the signs to the Tsahik of the males clan that the women is to be his mate, whether the pairing realised or not.

After we had said our goodbyes, l went to go find Ronal, who is tsahik of the metkayina clan and is also who will be carrying out the rest of my tsahik training in general and for the reef clan.

Once, l found her she began teaching me the healing values of seaweed and local corals and how to identify them. As soon, as I had gotten the hang of things, she went out and gathered some patients who needed a repeat round of treatment to completely heal their wound.

Once, I had gotten through all of the patients she had a blank expression, almost as though she was surprise but I could not say because she is extremely hard to read.

"What? Did I do something in a different way, if so I apologise. I am probably using the methods I learnt in the forest?" I asked curiously, like seriously I do not know whether I am going to get screamed at or praised.

"You did absolutely nothing wrong. You did it perfectly. I am shocked is all. It took me many years to learn all that" she replied with a more surprised look on her face.

"We can finish now because this was all I had planned for today" she told me.

Honestly, my mind is leaping for joy. All I wanted to do was find a quiet spot, sit down and relax whilst listening to the sounds of waves crashing into the ground, the swooshing and swishing of the wind. It all sounded really tempting. So, that is just what I did...

I really appreciated all the love this book is getting. I checked it the other day and (drum roll please)... it has hit 1000 reads and 16 votes.

I couldn't be any happier, until next time.
