I was actually thinking of doing a Niall Autistic one so this was great.

I would like to mention, autism is a spectrum. If you have met one person with autism, you have met one person with autism. Maybe you are autistic or are on the spectrum, your experience might not be the same as what is in the story. Autistic meltdowns are also always different. Some have many small triggers, while others have one big one, like in this story. Thank you for reading this.

The boys were all in the bus.

They had to get ready for a concert soon, but currently they were surrounded by fans. Niall was sleeping, and the boys were trying to be quiet because if he woke, he could've been worried for all the crowd. Thankfully, he has noise-cancelling headphones on.

Then, all at once people start shaking the bus, startling Niall awake.

He takes off his headphones.

"What's going on? Don't we have a concert?"

"Umm, yea, but there are some... pigeons? outside, and we know you're like scared of them or something."

"We're six people! We can just scare them off, come on!"

He opens the door and right away sees all the people.

LIAM POV:
Before any of us can stop him, Niall opens the door and sees the crowd. They start mobbing towards him, and Paul tries to push them away.

I notice his hands clench up right away. Then, he starts hand stimming.

Louis tries to take his arm to get him back, but Niall pulls away.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!"

Sometimes, when Niall is in a high-anxiety situation, he doesn't like being touched, except by Harry, sometimes.

There are steps to get down from the bus, so Niall sits on them and puts his head into his hands.

"Ok, where's Harry?" Zayn asks.

"Shit! I think he's in the bathroom."

"Look, Niall, it's going to be ok, these people aren't going to hurt you or anything," Louis says.

It doesn't help at all.

"Ok, I'm gonna call Harry."

I go over to the bathroom door and start banging.

"Gee, I'm almost done."

"It's Niall he needs your help."

"That bad?"

I nod.

He quickly comes out and runs over to Niall.

"Niall, can I touch you?"

He nods so Harry puts his arms around him.

"Look no one's going to hurt you. But, Paul's trying to get them away for us, ok?"

He nods.

"Want your normal headphones?"

He nods again.

Harry goes over and puts the headphones around him.

HARRY POV:
How do I calm Niall down? There were probably a LOT of people for it to be this bad.

I know looking at photos sometimes can help, so I'll try that.

About week ago, before this tour, I put together a little video of some photos and calming music in the background.

"Niall, wanna watch a video?"

"Huh?" he asks cutely.

"Here, I'll connect your headphones to my phone."

He nods.

As soon as he sees the first few photos he smiles.

The video is only about five minutes, but it calms him down for the most part, causing him to forget everything else. But, I know that the meltdown isn't completely over yet. You see, when Niall has a meltdown, we might be able to calm him pretty easily, or so we think, but often the signs come back at another random time in the day. Unless, he get some rest.

When the video is actually over, Niall turns to me with a pout on his face.

"I don't wanna concert."

"It's ok, I know bud. Why don't you play some music on your ipod and take a nap."

"Are you going to do the concert without me?"

"Do you want us to?"

"Yea, you would be better, I'm just a burden."

"Hey, hey, Niall don't say that. You are not a burden. It will never be the same performing without you. But, if you are ok with it, we're going to perform."

He nods.

"I'm ok with it."

"Ok, get some rest."

"Can we get Nando's later?"

I chuckle.

"Sure, bud. We'll be back soon, ok?"

"Ok."
