The boys beg Niall to go to the arcade, not entirely knowing about his sensory issues. After a while, he agrees. As soon as they get there, Niall starts panicking. There're tons of people, and music is blasting. He decides to stay with Paul in the food area. Paul knows about his sensory issues and comforts him, while the boys just continue playing. After a while, all four of the boys go to the food section, where they know Paul is, to show them the prize they won, when they notice the state Niall's in.

NIALL POV:
"Guy's I'm bored, let's DO something!" Louis says.

"Like what babe?" Harry asks.

"I don't know."

He thinks for a second.

"Ooh! What about the arcade!?"

"Sure!"

"I'm down."

"Sounds fun."

"Yea, that's a good idea, Niall?" Harry turns to me.

"I-I- uhh, I mean, I- you guys can go if you want."

"Why don't you want to go?"

"Yea, come on! It's fun!"

"We're not going to go without you!"

"I-I don't really want to, it's fine, you can go, I don't mind.

"You're crazy if you think we would do that to you."

"Ok, then don't go, because I'm not going."

"Oh, c'mon, PLEASE!"

"Yea, WE'LL HAVE SO MUCH FUN!"

"I- ok, but only if... Paul goes..?"

"Whatever man, your rules, I don't care, c'mon, let's go tell 'im!"

Liam quickly calls him and Paul agrees, after Liam tells him about my request.

At the Arcade
NIALL POV:
As soon as I walk in, I'm overwhelmed with sounds, smells, and lights, tons of colorful loud lights.

"Mmm, Paul, I don't like it here," I say, slightly tugging on his shirt.

"I know, bud, wanna go over to the food section with me?"

I nod.

I follow him there.

We don't talk for a few minutes.

"I-it's really loud," is all I say after that time.

I squeeze my eyes shut and put my hands over my ears.

Paul rubs my back.

Soon, someone taps my shoulder.

I open my eyes and uncover my ears.

"Y-yea?" I look towards Paul.

He points so I look, and the boys are standing there.

"Oh, h-hey guys."

"What's wrong with Niall?"

"He's getting a bit overwhelmed here."

"Why?"

"I-I haven't- I don't think I've told them before," I turn to Paul.

He doesn't look too surprised.

"Should I?" Paul asks.

I nod.

"He has SPD, or, sensory processing disorder. So, his brain can't really process all the senses, and it can be really overwhelming being somewhere like, an arcade, for example."

They look at me sadly.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ruin your trip, y-you-you can go back and play again if you want."

"No, we're not mad at you Niall, we're sad that we didn't know about this or notice anything. C'mon, let's go home, yea?"

I nod.

"Ok."

Over the next few days, and weeks, the boys learned more about how to help me with my SPD, and Paul didn't have to stick around with me all the time.

(Well, THAT was really bad.)
